LOT 1: Canterbury

2008 Bay Stallion - Holsteiner (Canturo / Acord II) Donated by Nick Edmunds, Hidden Pearl Farm.

he only son of Canturo standing at stud in North America.

  • CURRENT BID: $
  • Sells with NO RESERVE
  • LOT IS CLOSED

Record: he only son of Canturo standing at stud in North America.

  • Type/Breed: Holsteiner
  • Size: 16.2
  • Papers: No

Notes:

Canterbury's mother, the late Hepburn jumped internationally and won a Nations Cup for Germany. Her mother U-Classic also jumped internationally and Hepburn's grandmother, Biserta, is also grandmother to the current top international jumper Livello.

Canterbury's sire, Canturo needs little introduction as a top level international competitor and successful sire in Germany, Holland and around the world. Canterbury is the only son of Canturo standing at stud in North America.

Bio
Canterbury was imported to the USA just prior to turning 2. Aged 3 he began his work under saddle and also covered his first book of mares. At 4, in 2012, he competed for the first time, demonstrating his great jump and rideability. His first foals arrived, all of good quality, a good size, particularly strong in their canters and all with very nice heads and faces. In 2012 he participated in the 70-Day Stallion Test at Silver Creek Farms in OK, finishing up with the highest jumping scores of any of the 4yo stallions.

His children are currently starting under saddle, demonstrating high rideability, power through the gaits and significant scope and technique jumping both loose through the chute as well as under saddle.

LOT 2: Carracci

1994 Bay Stallion - Holsteiner (Caretino / Grundyman xx) Donated by Donna Harrington, Avenir Farm.

  • CURRENT BID: $500.00
  • SOLD
  • LOT IS CLOSED

  • Type/Breed: Holsteiner
  • Size: 16
  • Papers: No

Notes:

A son of Holsteiner great Caretino, Carracci provides North American breeders access to aPROVEN international competitor and producer. Approved in Holstein as a 3 year old stallion, Carracci progressed into the barns of Jan Tops and Gestut Dobel. Jumping at S-Level with Olaf Peters, he was dubbed "the great hope for Athens in 2004," before a performance injury sidelined those big dreams. He continued his 1.5m level career in Europe until the Kelly family bought the 12 year old stallion for their young daughter.  Carracci and Christina Kelly continued their winning ways in Europe and then the American A-Circuit in the Junior Jumper Ring, displaying the stallion's undeniable talent, rideability, character and temperament.

In Europe, Carracci bred lightly while competing, but did a lot with that small number! Carracci offspring are continuing their sire's competitive success. Daughter China Blue 4 competed with Marco Kutscher in the Global Champions Tour, son Chippolino competed to 1.45m and another daughter was crowned Vice Champion of South Germany in the 5-Year Old classes. Most recently, a Carracci grandson won the 6-year old class in Monte Carlo and qualified for the Bundeschampionat with an overall score of 8.7.

From his first crop in the US, son Carracci Blue won the Developing Sport Horse second and third rounds with scores of 92 in the first class and 89 in the second at the 2013 Southeast Medal Finals. In 2014, Carracci Blue competed at WEF in the 1.3m and 6 yr old classes, qualifying again for the Finals.

Carracci is approved for breeding with the sBs and Baden Wurtenburg.  He is available with fresh semen and if the mare is located in proximity to Lexington, Kentucky, can also do live cover.

LOT 3: Jestar Du Lozon

1997 Chestnut Stallion - Selle Francais (Papillon Rouge / Artichaut) Donated by Donna Harrington,

  • CURRENT BID: $1,100.00
  • SOLD
  • LOT IS CLOSED

  • Type/Breed: Selle Francais
  • Size: 16.2
  • Papers: No

Notes:

Jestar du Lozon captures the most discerning eye with his outstanding qualities. He has all the traits breeders look for in a stallion... pedigree, type, conformation, temperament and the scope, technique and heart to tackle the most renowned international courses. As a young stallion, Jestar was the 3rd highest ranked stallion approved by the Selle Francais and accordingly, became one of the top sellers at the elite NASH Saint-Lo auction. Before being imported by Split Rock Farm, he was piloted by German Olympic Gold Medalist Lars Nieberg and two-time Danish show jumping champion Torben Suhr in numerous CSI 4-star and 5-star competitions, including the prestigious Hamburg Derby.

Jestar du Lozon's sire is none other than the French legend Papillon Rouge, a stallion who has become one of the leading progenitors of upper level competition horses. He appears regularly in the top echelon of sport horse sires in all studbooks and through his sire, Jalisco B, carries some of the most influential jumping bloodlines in the world. Jestar's pedigree is rounded out by two sires, Artichaut and Starter, who continue to have significant impact on the show jumping world. Both are often found today in the second or third generations of successful jumpers, including the likes of international stars Baloubet du Rouet, Nabab de Reve and Epsom Gesmeray.

Through Jestar du Lozon, breeders have the opportunity to breed to a stallion of not only international class, but a stallion that provides proven, elite show jumping lines unavailable in North America.

LOT 4: Talisman

2001 Bay Stallion - Selle Luxembourgeois (Toulon / Alexis Z) Donated by Trestle Tree Farm

Competed through 1.40m at top competition venues including Wellington, Kentucky, and the Hamptons.

  • CURRENT BID: $500.00
  • SOLD
  • LOT IS CLOSED

  • Type/Breed: Selle Luxembourgeois
  • Size: 16
  • Papers: No

Notes:

Talisman is an exciting addition to the Hilltop Farm stallion line-up for hunter, jumper, and eventing breeders alike.  Talisman was bred in Canada by Carlo Zimmer.  He was licensed by the CWHBA as a three-year old.  The Young Jumper classes highlight some of the top up-and-coming prospects and Talisman shone brightly each year.  As a 5-year old, he won the prestigious YJC Eastern League Finals and as a 6-year old he finished 6th in the Championships.  Talisman competed through 1.40m at top competition venues including Wellington, Kentucky, and the Hamptons.

Talisman's success is backed by a strong pedigree that foretold his jumping ability.  Sire Toulon was a top-level international show jumper under Hubert Bourdy.  He has over 20 approved sons and many offspring competing internationally.  In 2014, Toulon was ranked 13th on the WBFSH Sire Rankings and at the 2014 World Equestrian Games there were 4 Toulon offspring competing.  In the US, we see Toulon offspring competing under top Grand Prix riders such as Laura Kraut, Charlie Jayne, Candice King, and Quinten Judge. Grandsire Heartbreaker was also successful internationally with top placings at shows such as Falterbo, London, and Aachen. From his dam, the influential stallions Alexis Z, Alme, and Pilot are added to Talisman's genetics. Alexis Z earned 15 wins at S-level, sired 20 licensed stallions, and his offspring have won over 1.3 million euro in sport.  Alme's influence is still strongly felt in both sport and breeding.

Talisman was approved with ISR/OldenburgNA, sBs, and RPSI late in the summer of 2014.  His early foal crops show his strong influence on type and wonderful walk.  His earliest offspring are proving to be easy to start. With his move to Hilltop Farm, we're looking forward to expanding Talisman's availability for hunter, jumper, and eventing breeders in the coming years.

LOT 5: Chicardo

2003 Grey Stallion - Holsteiner (Clinton / Corofino) Donated by KC Branscomb, Branscomb Farm LLC.

Champion 2007 Holsteiner licensing, Reserve Champion German FN authorized 70-day Sporthorse Stallion

  • CURRENT BID: $900.00
  • SOLD
  • LOT IS CLOSED

Breed Incentives: International Jumper Futurity

  • Type/Breed: Holsteiner
  • Size: 16.2
  • Papers: No

Notes:

Chicardo was Champion of the 2007 Holsteiner licensing earning 52 bonits and was Reserve Champion of the German FN authorized 70-day Sporthorse Stallion Performance Test (2011) where he received a rare perfect 10 for character and 9.5 for jumping with no gait lower than 8 (128.58 total score).  He was Reserve Champion of the 2007 Young Jumper Championship Mid-West Finals and competed up to Grand Prix level in showjumping in 2012 and 2013 with Daniel Zilla until retiring to focus on breeding full time.   In statistics compiled by the AHHA evaluating Holsteiner stallion production quality, Chicardo leads the list with an astonishing 83% Premium foals (of 24 inspected), with average foal bonits of 8/8, leading both movement and conformation of all 58 qualifying Holsteiner stallions licensed in North America in 2010.

A leading producer of all around sporthorses, Chicardo has over thirty-five (35) USEF competition recorded offspring with at least one actively competing in each of the four show USEF sanctioned disciplines (dressage, jumping, eventing, and hunters) as of October 2014. At the 2013 North American Stallion 70-day test, Chicardo was represented successfully by not one but two sons; both approved for breeding bringing his total to three approved sons.

Chicardo's sire, Clinton, was a top international jumper and ranked among the top WBF jumper sires of the world. Ramiro, Cor de la Bryere, Corrado and Capitol I appear prominently in Chicardo's blood. Dam Mycarda also produced three licensed sons as testament to the quality of his motherline: the "Lord" stamm 1298.

Chicardo stamps his foals with lovely heads, great movement, superior jumping technique and the desire to please their owners/riders.  This elegant modern stallion combines the extreme athletic quality of his sire Clinton I with a gentle temperament and rideability for mare owners that want to breed and raise their foals at home.

  • SOLD
  • LOT IS CLOSED

Breed Incentives: International Jumper Futurity

  • Type/Breed: Belgian Sport Horse
  • Size: 16.3

Notes:

Diabolo d'Esquelmes is the product of an exceptional breeding program in Belgium - one that has produced multiple Grand Prix horses, including Diabolo's full brother, Uchingo d'Esquelmes - a confirmed 1.60m competitor.

Diabolo is by the great stallion Chin Chin. This exceptional show-jumping stallion, had a willing and forgiving character, combined with an undeniable jumping talent, that contributed to his international success.

Chin Chin competed for more than five years at the international level. He achieved amazing success in the show ring, despite the fact that his rider was an amateur. In 1988 Chin Chin won FIVE consecutive times in the North American League on the World Cup circuit and competed in Seoul at the Olympic Games where he placed sixth individually. Four years later, he competed at a second Olympic Games in Barcelona! In 1989 and 1990, he was placed in the final of the World Cup in Both Dortmund and Tampa. Diabolo had a very successful career thus far in the Young Jumpers Championship program. Currently, he is spending the winter in Wellington with trainer Jennifer Ramsey campaigning the 7 yo Young Jumper classes. Diabolo passes on type, temperament and athleticism.

LOT 7: Cartier R

2009 Brown Stallion - Holsteiner (Cassini I / Acorado ) Donated by Ronda Stavisky, Rising Star Far

Hunter Derby winner. Champion A/O Hunters in 2015.

  • CURRENT BID: $
  • Sells with NO RESERVE
  • LOT IS CLOSED

  • Type/Breed: Holsteiner
  • Size: 16.1
  • Papers: No

Notes:

Cartier R was imported in the spring of 2011 as a 2 year old.  In the summer of 2011 he received his preliminary breeding license from GOV.  Cartier was the only 2.5 year old stallion approved in that year.  As a 3 year old, Cartier R was presented to AHHA and with 51 bonits, was the high point stallion.  He also received 9's for his scope and willingness.  Standing 16.1h, Cartier R exhibits exceptional athletic ability, scope and temperament.

|In 2013, Cartier R fulfilled and surpassed the performance requirements for his permanent license with AHHA.  Showing through 1.10m, this four year old stallion regularly produced clear rounds. In 2014, Cartier R had great success in the Performance Hunters and National Hunter Derby classes.  Placing in his first Derby in a field of 45, Cartier R topped the season not only winning his Performance Hunter over fences classes, but also winning a very competitive National Hunter Derby at the Bill Russell Memorial Horse Show.  In 2015, Cartier R embarked upon a very successful amateur career, capping off the season a championship in the A/O Hunters at Atlanta in the Fall. His foals have tremendous athletic ability, beauty and stellar temperaments.

Cartier R is a direct son of Cassini I.  Cassini I is the son of Capitol I, one of the greatest Holsteiner show jumping sires and father of forty approved stallions.  Capitol I was richly endowed with the heritage of two great Thoroughbred descendants of the Bay Ronald line - Cottage Son xx and Manometer xx, and also carried a double cross of the influential Anglo-Arab Ramzes.  With a phenomenal breeding index of 182, he headed the FN young jumping stallion ratimgs.  Capitol's dam, Folia, showed great jumping potential herself and also produced the licensed stallions Latus I and II, as well as Capitol II, and famous daughter U-Capitola.

Cassini I has been at least as successful breeding, with a series of offspring active in the international sport such as Ingmar, Eurocommerce Berlin, Coco, Cavalor Cumano and Carino.  Cassini I is highly sought after sire of performance horses throughout Europe and the entire world.  His offspring are in great demand and have proven themselves many times over in the toughest competitive arenas.

Dam Picarda I is by Acorado I who won the 1997 Adelheidsdorf stallion performance test, twice receiving 10s for  his exceptional jumping ability.  In 1999 and 2000, he qualified and won the Bundeschampionat.  Unfortunately, Acorado I died before meeting his full potential, but leaves behind almost 20 approved sons to continue his legacy.  Cartier R brings an exciting and proven pedigree to North America.

Breeding good for 2016/2017.

More than forty registered offspring in the Breeding Guide for international jumpers turns Darco into one of the most influential stallions of all time, including the ranking of #1 showjumping sire in 2008.

Damsire Feo de Lauzelle produced a range of international jumpers including It's Me, Miss Flo and Tiramisu. The mother line of Valentino Z includes the French stallions Iveday (Night and Day xx) and Quastor (Ibrahim) and the mare Une Page (Quest France - Fra Diavolo xx). Une Page was the grandmother of the French stallions Lotus du Marais (Nankin), Leopard du Marais (Silver Matal xx) and Ouragan du Marais (Hadj A). Night and Day XX was the sire of Primo des Bruyeres, who in turn sired Olympic Jus de Pomme. Valentino Z brings a very exciting pedigree to North America!

Valentino Z was owned by Stud Zangersheide and ridden by Judy Ann Melchior and Edouard Mathe. After a very successful career in Europe, Valentino Z was imported to the US and had a super career in the High Junior Jumpers - demonstrating his amateur friendly temperament.

His foals have inherited this temperament, along with his athletic ability and scope. They are also quite large. Successful in both the hunters and jumpers, Valentino's foals are highly sought after.

LOT 9: Figaro B

2005 Bay Stallion - Belgian Warmblood (Pavarotti vd Helle / Wellington) Donated by Ronda Stavisky,

2010 Gulfport High Pre Green Circuit Champion.

  • CURRENT BID: $
  • Sells with NO RESERVE
  • LOT IS CLOSED

  • Type/Breed: Belgian Warmblood
  • Size: 17
  • Papers: No

Notes:

Figaro B's sire, Pavarotti vd Helle has consistently produced offspring at the highest levels of both dressage and jumping competition including Quintus who placed 10th at the Beijing Olympic Games in showjumping. Pavarotti himself was the reserve champion of the jumping test for Rheinland and Westfalen as well as the BWP. Following a trailer accident, Pavarotti became a champion dressage performer. The descendants of Pavarotti are notable for their good looks. As well, they combine super movement with excellent jumping technique.

Figaro B's grandsire, Pilot is without doubt the best Westphalian producer of jumpers. Pilot has produced about thirty Grand Prix horses including Priamos, Bugatti Pedro, Piro, and Panama. Damsire Wellington was reserve champion of the stallion testing in 1983 and went on to place 3rd in the National stallion competition in 1985, 2nd in the 1987 competition, and 1st in the stallion competition category C. He also starred in dressage at Z-level and jumped nationally. He earned his "keur" predicate by siring many "ster" and "keur" mares, and approved stallions like Emilion, Farrington, and Glennridge.

True to his pedigree, Figaro B is a powerful jumper, with beautiful movement. He was the 2010 Gulfport High Pre Green Circuit Champion. He also successfully completed the 2010 70 day Stallion Test, earning 9's for his character and work ethic, as well as from the guest jumper riders. Figaro made his debut in the 1st Year Hunters in 2011, winning several Champion and Reserve Champions at Gulfport. He also was successful in the USHJA Hunter Derbies, finishing 6th out of 50 entries in his debut.

Figaro's offspring reliably inherit his good looks and exceptional movement. Daughter Glissade placed 2nd in yearling HB at Lexington Nat'l Horse Show and 3rd at Warrenton. Easy to start under saddle, his offspring should excel in the hunter ring.

Breeding good for 2016/2017.

LOT 11: Calucci

2001 Grey Stallion Holsteiner (Calido I / Acord II) Donated by Kindle HIll Farm, Anne Ogletree

Competed in Germany through S-level and in the U.S. through 1.45m

  • CURRENT BID: $800.00
  • SOLD
  • LOT IS CLOSED

  • Type/Breed: Holsteiner
  • Size: 16.3
  • Papers: No

Notes:

An impressive sport record, excellent character, and impeccable pedigree made GK Calucci a standout addition to the Hilltop Farm line-up. Competed in Germany through S-level and in the U.S. through 1.45m with both professional and amateur riders, Calucci's proven his reliability in the show ring time and again. He's earned top ribbons at shows such as HITS, Manchester, Devon, and WEF.

Calucci is sired by Calido I, who earned 140 points and was ranked 1st in jumping at his Stallion Performance Test. He won over 25 competitions for young show jumpers in Germany. Calido's legacy however rests with his offspring which have earned over 2.78 million Euros in sport. The German FN shows 226 Calido offspring successful at S (advanced) Level and he has over 50 approved sons to his credit. Calucci's grandsire Accord II was the winner of his Stallion Test with 146 points overall, including scores of 9 or higher for jumping ability and rideability. He has sired over 230 S-level showjumpers, but has also sired S-level dressage horses. Calucci's granddam competed up to the S-level herself and her offspring have competed up to 1.6m. Great-grandsire Contender is legendary and his influence has been felt across all the major registries and with showjumping, eventing, and dressage breeders.

In the late summer of 2014, Calucci was presented to ISR/Oldenburg, RPSI, and sBs to receive his lifetime approval with all three organizations. We welcomed the first Calucci foal late in 2015.  Calucci has been of interest to hunter, jumper, and eventing breeders alike and we look forward to his 2016 foal crop from a diverse mare base.

LOT 12: Cevin Z

2013 Grey Stallion AES (Coriall Z / Carthago) Donated by Christine Miller, Equine Stallion Service

Successful International Sire

  • CURRENT BID: $500.00
  • SOLD
  • LOT IS CLOSED

Record: Successful International Sire

  • Type/Breed: Anglo European Studbook
  • Size: 16.2
  • Papers: No

Notes:

Cevin Z's breeding features the outstanding bloodlines for which the Zangersheide Studbook is famous. He carries the double crosses of both Cor de la Bryere and Capitol 1 in his pedigree, and he was the second highest priced foal from this prestigious stud in 1997.

His sire, Coriall Z, was one of the top stallions of the Zangershiede stud with many graded sons, and he is a 3/4 brother to the well known show jumping stallion Corrado 1, sire of Indorado. His father Cor de la Bryere is one of the most important stallions in modern show jumping, having sired 88 plus graded stallions, his progeny having won over 2 million pounds in prize money in Germany alone.

His dam, Larthago, competed internationally, winning a major class at the Horse of the Year Show (HOYS) in 2003 and the CSI-A CH10 Rotterdam at 1.45m. Among her progeny she has four KWPN approved stallions standing in Europe (including Harley VDL); her embryo transplants were sold for 25,000 Euros.

Cevin Z is proving a serious producer of talented young horses, many now competing at the highest level of both international show jumping and eventing. He consistently passes on his exceptional jump, great brain, and trainable attitude. A brief list of his top performers include:

* Billy Manhattan sold to Norway and won the Norwegian 6 Year Old Championships.
* NLF Billy On Show also sold to Norway and won the 2* Grand Prix at the Global Champions Tour in London and Weisbaden in 2013, now competing at CSI5* in the USA.
* Billy Balou won the Newcomers and Foxhunter Finals at HOYS with both Pippa Funnell and William Funnell and went on to compete at 1.60m before being sold to Spain.
* Billy Cevelle won the 6 Year Old Championships in Dalmar and was 3rd in the Hickstead 6 Year Old Final amongst other good results in 2011 before being sold first to Canada and now Ireland where she's competing at 1.50m.
* Billy Lemon is now being competed by Robert Whitaker at CSI5*.
* Billy Mexico (Elite stallion) qualified for the HOYS Foxhunter Finals in 2011, a remarkable achievement as he was the only 6 year old to do so and achieved 3rd place in the competition. He was also 4th in Hardelot in the 6 Year Old Championships 2011 and in 2013 won a 1.45m class at CSI5*-W show in London Olympia. He the started the 2014 season by winning the 1.45m Small Grand Prix in Spain and went on to compete at 1.60m before being sold to the USA.
* Valetto JX won the 6 bar in Calgary in 2010.
* Billy Tudor (Licensed Stallion), joint winner of the 4-yr-old championships at Hickstead in 2015.

Cevin Z has also produced the Olympic eventer Borough Pennyz, 8th place at the London Olympics for Italy.

Vuvuzela Z is a modern, athletic type stallion.

He competed successfully in the 5 yr. old young jumpers in 2015 turning in several clear rounds and finishing in the top 10 nationally for the USEF standings for the 5 yr. old young jumpers. He has placed highly in all of his free jumping classes, showing off his carefulness and exceptional hind end.

As a colt, he was one of the youngest to be presented at the Z-Festival where he placed 5th out of over 250 colts.

Vuvuzela Z's sire Vagabond de la Pomme has recently made his debut onto the international scene with tremendous success under top French rider Penelope Leprevost.  Vagabond de la Pomme possesses a dream pedigree on both the dam and sire side.  His sire being the World Equestrian Games 2010 winner Vigo D'Arsouilles by Nabad de Reve, and having four dams on the dam line which themselves performed in the sport at top level; Sauterelle de la Pomme, Narcotique de Muze, Qerly Chin, and Kerly.

On Vuvuzela's dam side the Holsteiner progenitors Contender, Cassini I, and Lord are united.  Great granddam Halicia carries a considerable amount of Thoroughbred blood and descends from Julio Mariner, Goldschlager, Grand Empereur, and Miller's Grey.  This mare's line produced, amongst others, the Grand Prix Horses Tilbert, Dior, and Goliath.

  • Registry: BWP

Notes:

Wilbur as he is affectionately known has already started to amass a list of accomplishments starting with the 2013 3 yr. old Free Jumping Championship at The Young Horse Show Finals. In 2014 he led the country in The Young Horse Show 4 yr. old jumping under saddle division with a score of 8.67, and he was Reserve Overall Grand Champion as well as winning the rideability portion of the 4 yr. old International Jumper Futurity.  He turned in several clear rounds in the 5 yr. old young jumpers in 2015. With his beautiful technique and flashy movement he is also sure to be a top producer of hunters.

Sire Diamant d'Semilly needs no explanation as he is continuously ranked as one of the leading show jumping sires of the world. As a competitor, Diamant was one of the top international horses of his day.  He qualified for both the 2000 and 2004 Olympics, and jumped 11 out of 12 clear rounds in nation cups for the French Team in 2002.  His offspring include the up and coming stallion Emerald under Harrie Smolders, Eurocommerce Toulouse, and Kalaska de Semilly.

Dam Grand Rose ABF (Rio Grande x Lord Incipit) is bred for the jumper ring and with exceptional scope and carefulness, she would be sure to excel.  However, with her perfect jumping technique and gorgeous movement she has won several championships in the hunter ring.  Dam sire, Rio Grande, comes from a long line of international showjumpers such as Raphael and Ramiro; Rio Grande himself competed at the top of the sport. Rio Grande qualified for the 1996 Olympics but the rider was unable to attend.  Dam's dam Viva la Rose comes from a long line of international horses and she herself was a winning open speed mare at the top level.

2013 3 yr. old YHS Finals Free Jumping Champion.  2014 Reserve Overall Grand Champion YHS 4 yr. old and led the country in jumping under saddle division with a score of 8.67.

  • Type/Breed: Thoroughbred - Registered (Jockey Club)
  • Size: 16.2

Coconut Grove is the first Thoroughbred stallion in the U.S. to be granted a breeding license by the American Holsteiner Horse Association and the American Hanoverian Society. He has 100% positive approval status with 9 European, 9 U.S. and 1 Canadian Registry, the only thoroughbred in U.S. history to accomplish this feat.

In 2005, he was chosen for the highly selective Hanoverian Jumper Breeding Program. In 2014, Coconut Grove was posthumously approved by the American Trakhener Association. Coconut Grove is an outstanding performer with a pedigree proven to produce jumpers. Coconut Grove is often described as "amazing" in editorial columns. Coconut Grove was the Best South American Horse and placed Team 5th in the 1999 Pan Am Games, was 3rd in the 2000 $100,000.00 U.S. Open Jumper Championships, and 6th in the 2000 WEF Challenge Cup Grand Prix.

He won the Biltmore Welcome Stake and was 2nd in Modified Jumper - Upperville 2000 and 5th in the Grand Prix of Wellington in 2001. He ranked 3rd in the 1999/2000 American Grand Prix Association Rookie of the Year Championships based on only six starts. LOT 20: Findus

1999 Bay Stallion Hanoverian (For Pleasure / Caletto I) Donated by Jennifer Dachton, Erinwood Sp

Videos Added!! Successful in Grand Prix Jumpers, Regular Working Hunters, and Adult Amateur Hunter

  • CURRENT BID: $
  • Sells with NO RESERVE
  • LOT IS CLOSED

Record: Successful in Grand Prix Jumpers, Regular Working Hunters, and Adult Amateur Hunters.

  • Type/Breed: Hanoverian
  • Size: 16.1
  • Papers: No

Notes:

Findus 1999 16.1hh Imported Hanoverian Stallion (For Pleasure/ Caletto I/ Landadel) approved OLD GOV, sBs, NAS.

Findus' foals are eligible in other European and US registries.

Findus is the total package! He had a successful career showing in the Grand Prix Jumpers, Regular Working Hunters, and Adult Amateur Hunters. He has the talent for any professional yet the temperament for an Amateur. His talent and easy going Amateur friendly attitude has been proven to be passed to his foals. Findus has foals competing successfully in upper level jumpers and even dressage in Argentina. Findus was also picked to be a part of a South Korean breeding program. His foals in the States are just now starting their show careers in both the hunters and jumpers.

Findus' pedigree boasts some of the best Hanoverian and Holsteniner breeding.

Findus is by For Pleasure (Fuioso II / Grannus) who is a two-time Olympic Gold Medal winner, World Champion, Hanoverian Stallion of the year in 2000, and German horse of the year in 1995. For Pleasure won 1.8 million euro in prize money. His sire, Furioso II, is considered one of the most influential sport horse sires in the world who, in 1989, was the top sire in Germany based on money earned by his get.

Findus' damsire, Chanel, is by Caletto I (Cor de la Bryere / Consul). Chanel, when crossed with "For Feeling (by For Pleasure) produced another approved stallion son in Hannover, "For Good Feeling" who won his 30 day stallion testing. For Good Feeling and Findus are ¾ siblings. Interestingly, Chanel's dam, Lorraine (by Landadel) is out of Gigantin -- dam of For Pleasure. This makes a "circular pedigree" strengthening the prized genes in the offspring.
