  • Type/Breed: KWPN
  • Size: 16.3 hh
  • Papers: No

Notes:

Pedigree, performance, and most importantly an incredibly strong record as a sire make Olivi a strong contender for dressage breeders.  Olivi's debut in 1999 resulted in him being named Reserve Champion of the KWPN Stallion Selection in Den Bosch.  Olivi's development included placings in the PAVO Cup Finals, the French Young Rider Championships, and at the CDI Grand Prix level.

Olivi's offspring have earned him the incredibly high Dressage Index of 175 and he was ranked 2nd behind his sire on the KWPN Sire Rankings.  He has sired many Keur/Elite daughters, two approved sons, and is the damsire for additional licensed stallions.  His offspring have been consistent winners from the Young Horse classes up through Grand Prix in both Europe and the US.

Olivi is sired by Jazz, one of the most significant sires in modern dressage breeding.  An international competitor himself, Jazz is consistently on the top of the WBFSH Sire Rankings and is the sire of international stars such as Johnson, Parzival, and Vancouver K

Olivi's dam descends from the famous Utopia mare line.  Grandsire Aktion competed in the European Championships, World Equestrian Games, and Olympics.

LOT 8: Inclusive

2013 Bay Stallion (Everdale x Doutzen) Donated by Van Olst Horses, Hilltop Farm, Inc. (agent)

Record: Co-Champion of his 2016 Stallion Performance test and earned scores of 8.5 or higher in all categori

  • Type/Breed: KWPN
  • Size: 16.2 hh
  • Papers: No

Notes:

Inclusive is an extremely promising young stallion from well-established family that is of keen interest for dressage breeders.  His sire Everdale is a well-developed stallion that exhibits a beautiful dressage type. He was Champion of his Stallion Performance Test in 2012 and he commandingly won the PAVO Cup for 4-Year Olds the following year.  Everdale's offspring have been in high-demand and Inclusive is from his oldest foal crop.

Grandsire Lord Leatherdale is an FEI winner that has proven to cross exceptionally well with Negro daughters, as we've seen in stallions such as Everdale, Glamourdale, Chippendale, and more. Due to quality of his offspring, great-grandsire Negro has been awarded the coveted Preferent status by the KWPN.  Included in his exceptional offspring is of course the Olympic Gold Medalist and World Record holder, Valegro (ds. Gershwin).

Inclusive's dam is a Ster Prok mare with the KWPN and is sired by the beautiful stallion Uptown.  In 2004, Uptown was the Champion of the KWPN Stallion Licensing and his Stallion Performance Test. Under Hans Peter Minderhoud, Uptown won the PAVO Cup for 4-year olds and placed fifth in the FEI World Championships for Young Horses as a 5-year old.  The legendary Jazz adds further depth to this pedigree.  Jazz was himself an international winner and leads the KWPN sire rankings for production of dressage horses.

Inclusive was named Co-Champion of his 2016 Stallion Performance test and earned scores of 8.5 or higher in all categories.  He was especially praised by the committee for his three very good basic gaits, rideability and self-carriage.  We feel he's an important addition for breeders' consideration and will be following his development closely.|

LOT 10: Choice of Firestone or Zacharov

Donated by Jeannette Nijhof, Team Nijhof; Keswick Equine Clinic, agent

  • CURRENT BID: $750.00

  • Type/Breed: KWPN

Firestone

Firestone is the wonderful result of top-class dressage sires Johnson and Florencio.

Johnson, ridden by Hans Peter Minderhoud, is among the world's best dressage horses. He contributed to the bronze team medal at the World Equestrian Games in Caen in 2014 and the golden team medal at the European Championships in Aachen 2015, where Johnson also earned an individual bronze medal. Florencio has been world champion as both a five- and a six-year-old, while last year the KWPN awarded Florencio the prestigious 'Keur' sire. Florencio deserved this great title thanks to his offspring performing at Grand Prix level and the talented KWPN approved stallion Charmeur. The thoroughbred Painters Row xx and the valuable Saluut strengthen Firestone's pedigree.

Firestone was bred out of the famous Bella-damline, which has produced many successful showjumpers and dressage horses. Firestone's full sister Elfi also earned no less than 81.5 points at the KWPN Mare Test and achieved an amazing score of 95 points for her trot at the KWPN Mare Inspections.

As a 3 year old, Firestone stood out due to his fantastic conformation and movements, which earned him the title of reserve champion at the KWPN Stallion Show. Afterwards, Firestone earned 82.5 points in the KWPN Performance Test and made a great impression with Joyce Lenaerts in the KWPN Stallion Competition. In Ermelo, Firestone finished fifth, in Roosendaal he ended up fourth and at the last competition in Zuidbroek, Firestone became third. Firestone's first foals seem promising: they show charm, charisma and great movement!

Zacharov

Zacharov is the perfect example of performance breeding as we love to see nowadays.

Zacharov's pedigree includes Olympic sire Clinton, the extremely competitive Lord Z, Stallion of the Century Nimmerdor, the legendary Almé and the indispensable Gotthard. In addition, Zacharov's damline goes back to the well-known mare Antje Z. This daughter of Almé is a result of the same combination as World Cup Finalists and famous stallion Artos Z and Aerobic Z, sons of Almé bred of out of the full sisters of Antje's dam. Additionally, Antje Z stood at the base of Grand Prix horses like Toldine (Francie Steinwedell-Carvin), Shinto (José Maria Rega) and Plenty (Eliza Schuford). Zacharov's dam Oldine already produced the international showjumpers Adventure (Riccardo Pisani), Uladine (Martina Meroni) and Carolus (Jörg Peper), while her grandchildren Aldine (Jordan Mac Pherson) and Zsa Zsa (Patrick Spits) compete at 1.60m and 1.40m level. Ridden by Maikel van der Vleuten and Hanno Ellerman, Zacharove has already performed at international level at a very young age.

Zacharov won the World Cup of Pezinok in 2013, the Grand Prix of Mierlo and the Gold Tour in Celje, while he already make his Grand Prix debut as an 8-year-old. Zacharov was placed in the top 10 at prestigious shows like Valkenswaard, Lanaken, Oliva, Lyon, Hamburg and Basel. As a sire, Zacharov stays loyal to his pedigree and his own fantastic performances. His oldest offspring have already made their international debut.

Notes:

Chin Quidam VDL was bought as a six year old from VDL Stud in Holland, he has been carefully educated in the American system with thought taken in the methodical progression of his career.

To date Chin Quidam has impressed us all with his  power, technique and aptitude in the competition arena. In 2014, Chin Quidam  truly stood out amongst his peers by beginning his season with several top 10 finishes at WEF in the 1.30m to 1.40m divisions with Irishman Darragh Kenny. The success continued in the summer and was  exceptionally productive with several wins in Spruce Meadows in the 1.40-1.45m divisions. With these superb results Team Hyperion found themselves packing up for Europe sooner than expected to join Darragh Kenny in Aachen, Germany. This prestigious event brought Chin Quidam up against some of the best 8 year olds in the world. With his powerhouse pedigree stacked up underneath him and Darragh Kenny in the irons, the pair blew away the competition by winning the Youngster Cup Qualifier as well as the Youngster Finale in Aachen. An astounding result for the horse, the rider and Team Hyperion!

Chin Quidam is an exceptional example of the sire and dams of his pedigree. Sire, Chin Chin has had an enormous influence on the Dutch breeding in the modern day. His sport career was astounding! He competed at  two Olympic Games (Seoul & Barcelona) for Team Mexico, twice at the World Equestrian Games and numerous World Cup competitions. He has sired several approved stallions such as Zapatero VDL, Triomphe de Muze and Chin Quidam VDL.

Dam sire, Quidam de Revel, was a superior jumping athlete who competed in the Barcelona Olympics winning a team bronze and finishing fourth individually with French rider, Herve Godignon. The pair won several Grand Prix and competed on a slew of Nations Cup squads. Quidam de Revel was ranked #1 for two years in a row in the World Breeding rankings for jumper stallions. He his sire to over 189 approved sons including Quite Easy, Quite Capitol, VDL Groep Verdi and Nabab de Reve. His offspring continue to compete at the top of the sport to this day.

Chin's most notable career highlights in 2014 include winning the 1.40m during week 11 at WEF , winning 3 classes in Spruce Meadows  ,  winning the Sparkassen Youngster Cup Qualifier and Finale in Aachen, Germany, 2 wins in the 8 yr old youngster classes in Dublin, 2nd in the Finale of Dublin, and winner of the 1.50m Grand Prix in Ommen.

Chin Quidam VDL is an exceptional  horse who is well on his way to the top of the sport. His most appealing qualities include his efficient scope, quick reflexes, fearlessness and easy temperament. Chin Quidam VDL was approved  by AHHA receiving 50 Bonit points.||Taizo Sugitani joins forces with Hyperion Stud to take over the reins of Chin Quidam in 2015.

Notes:

BWP Ambassador Stallion, Orlando, is a top choice stallion for breeders in North America. Orlando is producing first-rate and competitive offspring such as Lauren Hough's hot shot mare, Ohlala. Many have won foal championships and have brought record auction prices.

Orlando's Sire, Heartbreaker, is Keur stallion who has produced numerous offspring jumping at the upper levels of the show jumping sport. As well as several approved sons including the 2006 Belgian Stallion Selection Champion Dulf Van Den Bisschop. Heartbreaker is still predominant in today's breeding and is one of the leading stallions on the Dutch and Belgian jumping indexes.

Orlando's  Dam Sire, Darco, was voted best sire in the world in 2010 for the fourth year in a row, and he has produced over 3000 foals in his breeding career such as the late Sapphire ridden by McLain Ward. His success as a breeding stallion continues today even after his death in 2006. During his show jumping career he made his mark at the Olympics Games, World Equestrian Games and countless World Cups and international events with Ludo Philippaerts.

In sport, Orlando had great success with riders Dirk Demeerman and Darrah Kerrins which began during his young horse years in Europe. His resume includes the 2002 6 yr old Belgian Champion, 2nd in the 7/8 yr olds in Aachen, winner of the 2004 CSIO4* 1.50m in Lummen along with many more wins and top five results throughout his career.

Orlando is a stallion who expresses big scope, superior technique along with a gentle temperament and is horse for all riders. These traits are passed along to his offspring and have been proven as successful sport horses throughout the world today.

Record: Champion 2005 KWPN Stallion Performance Test. Winner of the GCT GP in Valkenswaard, the CSI5* LA Mas

  • Type/Breed: KWPN
  • Size: 16.3 hh
  • Papers: No

Notes:

Van Gogh was the undisputed KWPN performance test champion of 2005.

During the last years no other KWPN stallion has received as many points as Van Gogh at his performance test. This son of Numero Uno was not only rewarded for his great jumping skills but also his fantastic movement.

The dam line of Van Gogh produced several international showjumping and dressage horses. Some examples are the spectacular jumper Der Senaat III (Abdel Said) and the impressive KWPN stallion Charmeur (Emmelie Scholtens). Offspring of Van Gogh are known by their very appealing types, good movements, ride ability and excellent jumping skills.

Out of his first crop of offspring we already find many 1.45m and 1.50m successful international showjumping horses. It is also worth mentioning the 9 year old gelding Cosmo (Van Gogh x Frühling), one of the most talented German dressage horses, who was recently added to the short list for the 2016 Olympics in RIO.

The 2015 show season was a tremendous success for Van Gogh and Marco Kutscher, winning the GCT GP in Valkenswaard, the CSI5* LA Masters GP and the CSI5* Hong Kong GP 2016. These great performances have resulted in this combination being preliminary nominated for the 2016 Olympics in RIO.

Van Gogh is still competing and winning at the Grand Prix Level.

VAN GOGH: CHAMPION OF THE KWPN STALLION PERFORMANCE TEST 2005!

Update: Earned 270,932 € in 2016.

  • Type/Breed: KWPN
  • Size: 16.3 hh
  • Papers: No

Notes:

Vitalis is Approved with the KWPN!

At a young age, an exceptional sire - sought-after world wide

Spectacular new entry for the 2016 breeding season. The very modern and big moving Vitalis is in the fast lane in breeding as well as in sport. He was first reserve champion of the main NRW licensing in 2009, dominated the dressage index of his stallion performance test in 2010 in Warendorf, and at an early age, notched up wins and placings in dressage horse classes, amongst others at the Dutch stallion championships and at the World Championships of five-year-old dressage horses in 2012.

In the same year, he was sold to Charlotte Jorst in the USA and with her, was placed in the finals of the World Championships of six-year-old dressage horses, shortly after he dominated the US championship in his age-group. With record marks of 10.0 for trot and 9.8 for canter, he was clearly ahead of the other competitors. Since then he has been trained up to advanced level and is successful up to Intermediaire I.

With his first crops, Vitalis caused a stir: In Rhineland in 2014, his daughter Virginia K was the winner of the elite show and at the Westphalian Week, all five of the three-year-old mare and gelding finalists were offspring of Vitalis. At the autumn elite auction in Münster-Handorf, the four star horses were offspring of Vitalis. The two highest offers were 200.000 euros. To date, 14 of his sons have been licensed, including Veneno, who was sold for 310.000 euros in Vechta in 2014. 2015 brought another rich crop: His daughter Victoria's Secret was German National Champion of the four-year-old mares and geldings, two other descendants of Vitalis also reached the final and his daughter Vienna was at the top of the Westphalian elite mare show.|His sire Vivaldi, internationally successful with Hans Peter Minderhoud, already looks back on a successful stallion armada of 19 licensed sons in Germany. Vivaldi was himself Reserve Champion of his stallion performance test with 9.0 for walk and canter as well as 8.5 for trot, won the five-year-old Pavo-Cup in Holland, won in 2008 "Hengstencompetitie" (stallion competitions) three times and also won in 2009 the final of  KWPN tournament series for stallions, where he received 10.0 for his trot. In 2014, Vitalis dominated the World championships of the six-year-old dressage horses in Verden, where his offspring ranked first, third and sixth. Vitalis' dam Tolivia was the three-year-old mare winner of the province of Limburg/NL. The dam sire D-Day was premium stallion in Oldenburg and approved LK I. He was successful in dressage up to Prix St. Georges. From a breeding perspective, D-Day left traces in the Netherlands and in Sweden. The great-grand-sire Argus was successful in Grand Prix in dressage but also in show jumping and the grey stallion Aktion J who follows in the fourth generation counts as one of the most successful dressage horses of his generation with the Hungarian Gyula Dallos. The licensed stallion Qarco van het Graethemhof , bred in Belgium, comes from this dam line.

Vitalis: Champions and price record setters are his brand label!

  • Type/Breed: KWPN
  • Size: 15.3 hh
  • Papers: No

Notes:

At his Stallion Licensing, the judges commented that Vinca, "is truly an all-around sport horse who fits the bill of what modern mare owners are seeking."

Vinca's foals have been chosen by professionals as well as amateurs and junior riders-they all have spectacular gaits, as well as a high level of rideability and trainability from day one.Vinca's foals are successful at inspections, on the line and in the competition arena. In 2015, J'Adore FF was in the KWPN's Top 5 for Dressage Yearlings and Ivanica FLF was named a GOV Foal of Distinction. Each year Vinca's foals are presented at Dressage at Devon, receiving receive Top 10 placings and qualifying for the GAIG/USDF East Coast Championships in their respective divisions. In 2015 J'Adore FF was 3rd in a highly competitive GAIG/USDF East Coast Filly Championship, the highest placed yearling against two 3 Year Olds. In 2013 Ivanica FLF was the GAIG/USDF Southeast Foal Champion. In 2012 alone, Heirloom was the GAIG/USDF East Coast Foal Champion and Fiorello was the GAIG/USDF East Coast Colt & Gelding Reserve Champion.

Vinca's pedigree makes him a suitable sire for both Dressage and Jumping horses. Highlights include: Bella Donna FF, who has won multiple tri-colors in the Amateur Owner Hunters, qualifying for and competing at WIHS, Devon, and Harrisburg. Veronica has won multiple All-Breeds awards in the Dressage arena, qualified and competed at the Markel/USEF National Young Horse Championships, and has competed at Third Level as a six-year-old while schooling Fourth Level. Edelweiss FF has competed in the High Children's Jumpers and is currently competing in the Junior Hunters.

While there is no limit to the talent of Vinca's sons and daughters, we also take pride in hearing how much their owner's love to work with them on a daily basis - they are typically barn favorites, with many individuals owning more than one Vinca foal!

Vinca himself has competed up to Fourth Level in the Dressage arena and has schooled all the movements of the Grand Prix. He has also competed in the Performance Hunters division, only a few weeks after being in Dressage training for most of his life-his versatility knows no end. Vinca won the coveted Born In The USA Stallion Award in 2006 at Dressage at Devon.

Stallion Test remarks:

El Capone is a well developed stallion built in the dressage horse model. The neckline is of good length and muscling. The back is more than sufficient of length and well muscled. The loins are well muscled and well connected. The croup has good length, location and muscularity. The base is well developed and more than sufficient of quality.

El Capone is an honest and reliable stallion with a good attitude.

The walk is correct, active and good from scope. The trot is light, well carried and with a lot of space and the canter is powerful, and well-carried with space.

El Capone moves with a good leg technique, is light footed and has a great flexibility. As a dressage horse, El Capone has much talent.

El Capone may improve the technique of moving at the trot and canter.

The father of El Capone, UB 40, has been for years in America, where he is successfully used for breeding. The mother of El Capone is the elite mare Vamora, which has a very good mother report. In this report is described amongst others that Vamora is a rich developed mare that is built good in the rectangular model and shows a lot of blood breed. Vamora has in the basic corridors a very strong hind leg technique with much bend in the joints and good flexibility.

Sport results El Capone

The 7-year-old stallion by UB 40 and with 00 Seven as dam sire has until now been trained by the Dutch rider Marieke Van Der Putten. The couple has e.g. been in the PAVO Cup finals in 2013 and 2014; both years they finished second in the finals. As 4- 5- and 6-year-old, El Capone won the KWPN stallion finals in Den Bosch. During the winter 2015/2016, El Capone and Marieke Van der Putten won the Dutch Championship at ZZ-licht level. In addition, the couple has just had their debut in Prix St. Georg, winning with 72%. El Capone is in the initial squad of the 7-year-old horses to be selected for UVM in Ermelo.

  • Type/Breed: KWPN

Notes:

Hennessy combines the blood of three absolute top sires: De Niro, Jazz and Ulft. Both De Niro and Jazz claimed for years top WBFSH ranking for dressage stallions and performed well both successful at Grand Prix level themselves.

De Niro is considered one of Germany's most valuable dressage stallions and is known as the father of celebrities like Desperados FRH, Delgado, D'Agostino FRH and Glock's Voice. Grandfather, Grand Prix sire Jazz is famous as the father of toppers as Glock's Johnson TN and Jerich Parzival. The latter was born from the proven combination Jazz x Ulft, which also strengthens the Hennessy descent.

Silhouette mother is an elite, preferred mare who has passed the mare test successfully with an 8 for her canter.  Additionally, Silhouette is the full sister of the approved stallion FEI Grand prix horse Ragtime V with American rider Christina Robinson.

Besides many successful dressage horses are also a few international jumpers and the KWPN stallion Engraver from the direct line of Hennessy.

The beautiful black pearl Hennessy was approved with dream figures by the KWPN. He received a total of 82 points with his great canter, fine flexibility and excellent posture and balance with 8½. Hennessy also earned for dressage potential an 8½ and 8s for the other gaits walk and trot.

Expected Breeding Value: 182.

Record: Successful PSG competitor. Completed the KWPNs 50 day performance test with 82.5 total points.

Notes:

KWPN Breeding Designation Approved.

2011: Completed KWPN 50-Day Performance Test: Walk 8, Trot 8, Canter 8.5, Suppleness 8, SCar/Bal 8.5, Ride/wil 8.5, Talent dressage 8.5 = 82.

KWPN Breeding Advice: Connaisseur can improve the canter and rideability for dressage breeding. He appears to fit best with substantial mares with a strong topline.

Sport Results in Europe

2012: 6th place Pavo Cup Finals.

2011: 3rd place Pavo Cup Finals.

Sport Results in North America

2015: Made PSG debut with 72.5%. Many scores over 70% at Third and Fourth Level.

2014: First place third Level (70%), BC Regional Dressage Championships.

2013: Reserve Champion second level, BC Regional Dressage Championships.

Imported 2012.

Although he was born in Germany, Connaisseur has the remarkable distinction of being approved in four countries: Germany (Westfalen), Holland (KWPN), Sweden (ASVH) and Belgium (BWP). And he achieved all that before his fourth birthday. A dressage stallion of the highest international quality, he attracted an extraordinary level of interest at the Swedish licensing, where he received an average gait score of 9.13, with 9.5 for his powerful, expressive trot, and a perfect 10 for his exceptional canter. As a four year old in 2011, Connaisseur successfully completed the KWPN's 50 day performance test with 82.5 total points. He was described as an "honest, reliable stallion with a good attitude," receiving 8.5 for canter, self carriage, rideability and character, and 8 for walk, trot and suppleness. Connaisseur's willingness to work and talent as a dressage horse were also noted on his test results, along with the comment that he is easy going and quiet in the barn. As a breeding stallion he can be expected to improve rideablity and the canter in his offspring.

In August 2011, Connaisseur made an impressive competition debut at the Pavo Cup, where he placed third out of more than 85 horses with 352 points (with scores of 86 in both the Semi-final and the Final). He was ridden by renowned young horse rider Emmelie Scholtens, who also rode him to sixth place in the 2012 Pavo Cup.

The jumpers in Connaisseur's bloodline are evident in the natural ability he demonstrates over fences. All three gaits are very correct, and he shows excellent use of the hind leg. With a naturally uphill balance, Connaisseur is a very modern type with an incredibly athletic build and beautiful head and neck. He has great presence, but his kind eye betrays a sweet, kind temperament. In the short time he has been under saddle, Connaisseur has demonstrated a wonderful character and great willingness to work. He is uncomplicated to ride and loves to please.

Connaisseur's sire Con Amore was a Premium stallion in Verden in 2005, standing out from the crowd by his great type and three high-quality gaits. Unfortunately for the dressage world, Con Amore passed away at just six years of age. Con Amore's sire was Contender (by Conteur), a highly placed three and four year old at the Bundeschampionat in dressage. He went on to become a very successful top level dressage horse. Conteur's mother Ofarim is the grand-dam of the famous jumping stallions Contendro I and II and Caretano. Connaisseur's dam Donna Clara, by Donnerhall, adds still more high-class dressage blood into his pedigree.

Connaisseur was leased to the Swedish National Stud at Flyinge as a three year old, where he became the fourth highest producing stallion in Sweden in 2010. Karl-Henrik Heimdahl at the Swedish National Stud has observed that Connaisseur "consistently produces foals with good movement; above all he seems to pass o

LOT 28: Choice of Cohinoor or Impressive VDL

Donated by Janko van de Lageweg, VDL Stud and Prima Equestrian (agent)

  • CURRENT BID: $950.00
  • SOLD
  • LOT IS CLOSED

  • Type/Breed: KWPN
  • Papers: No

Notes:

Cohinoor

Cohinoor has a pedigree to dream of: Olympic world-class sire Cornet Obolensky combined with the true producer of showjumpers Stakkato and the Holsteiner legend Contender. Ridden by Marco Kutscher, Cornet Obolensky was among the world's best jumpers and now he is even more famous for his fantastic offspring. Wonderful show jumpers Cornet d'Amour, Cornet's Cristallo, Clooney, Cornado NRW and Comme Il Faut are just a few examples of top horses sired by Cornet Obolensky. Grandsire Stakkato has jumped at the highest level for many years and is indispensable for today's breeding as both sire and as dam's sire. The legendary Contender is also represented by his offspring at the highest level, for example Chiara, Carlo and Colore.

Cohinoor's damline has already been successfully combined with top sire Cornet Obolensky - dam Sophia is none other than the half-sister to the Westphalian approved stallion Cornwall, a son of Cornet Obolenksy born in 2008. Ridden by Christian Kukuk, rider at Ludger Beerbaum Stables, Cornwall already jumps at the international 1.40m level. Additionally, the Westphalian and Hanoverian approved Call Me Number One is also a son of Cornet Obolensky being bred out of the same damline as Cohinoor. Call Me Number One jumps at Grand Prix level, ridden by Richie Moloney.

Cohinoor was approved by the KWPN with a fantastic score of 83 points and was one of the highlights of the KWPN Performance Test. Cohinoor scored an 8.5 for reflexes, technique, rideability and attitude and talent as a showjumper. For the remaining jumping components Cohinoor earned 8's. Cohinoor stands out due to his appealing, blood-type model and his light-footed way of moving. At the fences, Cohinoor impresses with his reflexes, technique and easy way of jumping.

Expected jumping index: 158.

Cohinoor: the valuable genes of Cornet Obolensky and Stakkato and impressing with his own scores.

Impressive VDL

Impressive VDL is a typical offspring of the sire Douglas with very much power. Through father Douglas flows the precious blood of Darco and Capitol I in the veins of Impressive VDL, which are strong features only strengthened. In breeding Douglas has evolved in recent years into one of the best producing Darco sons with successful offspring as Dougie Douglas (Katherine Dinan), Guru (Federico Fernández), Suma's Zorro (Sameh El Dahan) Dassler (Louise Saywell) Carneyhaugh Manx (McLain Ward), et cetera.

Impressive VDL's grand sire Contender hardly needs further explanation as one of the most influential Holsteiner stallion of the past decades and also Corofino I and Lord are essential in today's breeding.

The dam line of Impressive VDL is full of sport and approved stallions. Mother Atendri is preferent, provisional Keur and half-sister to:|Corrido - Holsteiner Verband approved stallion that international jumping under Nisse Lüneburg

Prestigious - the successful international show jumper Dirk Ahlmann|Salina IV - mother of the wildly successful Grand Prix jumper For Cento with rider Jos Lansink, the talented Quinta with rider Phillipp Schober and the approved stallion Quidman Denfer with rider Thomas Velin.

The KWPN approved Fernando, who Johnny Pals finished fourth in the Grand Prix of La Baule, the mighty Grand Prix jumper Cocodrillo (Juan Carlos Garcia), the AES Stallion Champion Goodluck VDL and stallions like Silverstone VDL and Chuck Z are closely related to Impressive VDL.

Impressive VDL was approved with the KWPN with a high score of 82.5 points. In the performance test the generous Douglas son was celebrated for his ability, attitude and reflexes, which he thrice earned a 8.5. Also jumping talent was rewarded with a 8.5. His power over the jump and quick reflexes make Impressive VDL an asset for breeding.

Expected Breeding Value: 139

Impressive VDL: Mighty Douglas son from a real sport line.

First foals will be born in Holland in 2017.

Origin:  Descending from the ever growing Bolero line, Black Tie shares a pedigree with "greats" such as Beauvalais, Brentina and Bonaparte to name a few.  Sire Baroncelli was the performance test winner in Munster -Handorf, 2002 best stallion of the year, 4th at the 2004 World Championships, and is now consistently in the ribbons at Intermediare I.  Dam, SPS Regina by Raphael was a successful jumper and is a member of the German Jumping Program.  The influence of Ramiro contributes greatly to Raphael's prepotency for siring top horses of diverse abilities, including Ramina, Rockefeller, Raphaelo, Ravallo and Radiator.  Raphael is also seen in some top hunter pedigrees, as well in the dam lines of approved stallions.  Black Tie's first foals arrived in 2007, with his first born being named top colt at the RollingStone Farm AHS Inspection.

History/Performance:  Black Tie's first year as a hunter brought many successes with wins in the baby green divisions at HITS Ocala. He had another successful 07/08 season in Ocala, finishing up at the Spring Premier in Lexington, VA. competing Pregreen High and consistantly in the ribbins.  The 09 season was interupted by an untimely pasture injury but all is well and Black Tie is back to work.  He is progressing well in his reconditioning and we anticipate he'll be ready for some small end of season shows.  Updates will be posted!

Breeding Record:  Black Tie's first foals arrived in 2007.  His first born (Bo Tie (aka Breaker Breaker 1-9) owned by Anne McKay) was named top colt at the Rolling Stone Farm AHS Inspection.  In 2008 our own Bombardier was named Premium GOV.  News and pics of outside offspring will be on his offspring page.  2009 was Black Tie's season at Triad Farm, siring 7 of our 10 foals.  They are all showing excellent type and personality and we are looking forward to their inspection comments.

Welfenkönig II

Origin:  Welfenkönig II was licensed in Verden in 2005 and went on to complete the 11 month performance testing in 2006 with Celle's group of young stallions (a tremendous honor for a privately owned stallion). He was 4th overall (125.80), 3rd in the dressage (125.04), and 11th in the jumping portion (114.58). He received 8's almost across the board with particular mention to his excellent rideablity, temperament and gaits. In addition he received a 9 for his ability on the cross country course. This was the second highest cross country score only to be superseded by Comte(Contrendro/Granulit/Landadel).  Welfenkönig II's pedigree combines a very successful and well established breeding niche famous for producing high rideablity and extraordinarily good temperaments.

Sire Wolkenstein II represents Weltmeyer as one of his most influential sons. He was vice-champion of his licensing, performance test winner, and 1993 Federal German Horse Riding Champion. He has sired over 40 licensed sons and 60 State Premium daughters. Wolkenstein II's dam, Wolke, has equally impressive accolades and carries the mother lines of Garibaldi I & II and Brentano I & II.

Dam SPS Moonlight, by Matcho AA was an excellent producer for breeder Guenter Spiewak. She produced 5 offspring by Wolkenstein II; 2 licensed stallions, 2 Elite mares and, and 1 son that sold at the 2003 Verden Elite Auction. Welfenkönig I was licensed in 2003 and stood at the State Stud Celle until he was sold to the State Stud of Saumur, France. An interesting note.....The riding school in Saumur recently permitted the attendance of women of which Welfenkönig I was ridden and campaigned. A true testament to the rideablity and character of this pedigree. Wonderland I, a full sister to Welfenkönig , has also been very successful. She was recently awarded her EMC after winning her inspection and performance test (7.88) at the 2007 AHS inspection in Conyers, Ga. She also had multiple wins at Devon from 2004-06 including the

Breeding Record:  WELFENKONIG'S FIRST FOAL BORN IN NA. WAS NAMED TOP COLT AT ROLLING STONE FARM'S AHS INSPECTION!!!!  Certainly an impressive first foal, Wham Bam out of Satsuma did his daddy proud.  A very typey colt with excellent elasticity and power.  So far the four foals we have at Triad Farm are more than impressive and their temperaments are wonderfully sweet.
