LOT 126: 24 Carrot Gem

2013 Chestnut Mare (Charlie Chime x Donau) 16.0 hh - Consigned by Jamie Carleton, JC Eventing, LLC - Connecticut

18 months training with an eventing trainer. Talented prospect for Eventing, Dressage & Jumping.

  • Type/Breed: Oldenburg Cross
  • Size: 16.0 hh
  • Papers: No

Notes:

Gemma is a 5 year old, 16 hand Oldenburg cross mare.

She has three lovely gaits, is naturally balanced, a fantastic mover, and has been started over fences. She has started basic lateral movements (leg yield, shoulder-in) and would absolutely excel in dressage but shows a natural aptitude for jumping as well.

Gemma is great on the ground, loves attention, and is very sweet. She is good for the vet and farrier and is currently barefoot.

While she is not badly behaved by any means, she is not for a beginner rider as she is young and can be a bit spooky on occasion. She does not buck, rear, bite, kick, etc. She would be the perfect match for a young professional or a confident amateur looking for a talented horse on a budget.

Gemma has attended horse shows to just hang out, ride around, and take in the atmosphere and was very well behaved.

Our loss is your gain as we simply do not have the time to devote to her training. This horse will easily climb the levels of dressage or jumping and is a fantastic, talented prospect for a very low price.
