24 Carrot Gem, or Gemma, is a young, talented prospect that would excel in dressage, show jumping, or eventing. She has three lovely gaits, is naturally well balanced, and has been started slowly and correctly. Our loss is your gain as her owners simply do not have the time for her, forcing her sale.

Gemma is very sweet on the ground, loves to be groomed, and is not mareish at all. She gets along well with other horses and is currently turned out in a group with both mares and geldings. Gemma stands for the vet and farrier, loads, lunges, and ties. She has been barefoot her entire life and has great feet. She is sound and ready for someone to take her in any direction.

Gemma would be best suited for an intermediate or advanced rider as she is young and can be a bit spooky, although she is easily worked through the spookiness. She does not buck, rear, bolt, or exhibit dangerous behavior on the ground or under saddle. She would be an ideal mount for a young professional looking for a potential mid- to upper-level horse on a budget or for an experienced adult amateur looking for a fun and talented project to grow with.

Gemma has been professionally started under saddle, started over fences, is currently jumping small (2 ft) courses, has free jumped up to 3'6"" with ease and plenty of scope to go higher, knows basic lateral movements (leg yield, shoulder-in, turn on forehand/haunches), and has been to a couple of horse shows to experience the atmosphere where she was very well behaved.
