Athletic sport pony prospect that can go any direction with a confident rider. Green over fences.
VERY MOTIVATED. TOO MANY HORSES ( especially after the last Sport Horse Auction and a bottle of wine! )
Silver Lining ""Zeno"" is a barefoot, easy keeper, athletic sport pony prospect that can go any direction with a confident rider.
Zeno was purchased roughly three years ago, from an ambitious endurance trail rider, for our upper level students looking to participate in high ribbons at our local shows. However, we have been specializing in beginner riders and just purchased a small older pony for our beginners.
Zeno is always very attentive, careful and lives to please. He is a very easy keeper and does well on timothy or cubes, currently in a pipe stall. With the right rider and training, Zeno can take them many ways such as dressage, jumping, trail, and western/gymkhana.
Zeno would do well with a confident ambitious rider who is looking to take advantage of his athleticism, smart mind, and loyal demeanor who loves responsive rides as he is considered a prospect and not a finished sport pony. His ideal rider is someone ambitious, knows what they want, can hold their rhythm, and can handle a spook.
He has never bucked or reared under saddle since I have owned him. He is green over fences and we are primarily focusing on his flat work. He is sensitive to the leg and seat and would not be suitable for a beginner. He would not be happy with a fearful rider or timid rider and is not kick and go. His gaits are expressive and has more go than whoa, but stops on a dime with `whoa`.
He is UTD on vaccines, and was recently floated in Oct. Vet says he is around 10 years of age and has only seen the vet since we've owned him for floating and vaccines. He also has two tiny melanomas, one on his face and one under his tail and Vet said they are normal for grey horses
