A Smart Girl was professionally trained by Lucas Ayers of Ayers Performance Horses. His focus is predominantly reining, cow horse, and roping, but he and his customers have shared success in NRHA, AQHA, ARHA, ASHA, APHA, Team Roping, and Dressage events.

A Smart Girl has show experience in: Working cow horse; reining; ranch versatility; ranch riding; horsemanship; western pleasure; trail; showmanship; halter. Also used on the Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) intercollegiate stock horse team.

She is a 2005 AQHA roan (papers say sorrel, but she is roan with strawberry marks) mare, 14.2 HH. Super sweet mare who aims to please. She is very talented, excelling in ranch events. Safe to be ridden by youth who is an intermediate rider or above as she is a finished horse with every button you can imagine including an effortless flying lead change. She will do a freestyle reining pattern brideless if you know how to ask. Clips, loads, bathes, walks right in the trailer. Good for farrier and vet. UTD on all cares including teeth, coggins and shots. Easy keeper, sound, no maintenance. Bears the ""DP"" brand on her left hip as she was bred, born, and raised on the famed Dorminy Plantation in Georgia by Katarina Dorminy. Continue to show her now, breed her later.

Sire: A Smart Enterprise (Sired by Smart Chic Olena). A Smart Enterprise is the 2003 NRHA Open World Champion. One of three horses on the 2003 United States Equestrian Team (USET) Festival of Champions with his team placing in the top 10. Sire's dam (Lady BH) earned in excess of $40k herself in reining money and placed 3rd in the NRHA open futurity.

Dam: Lucky Girl 891 (LTE $5472) (Sired by Melanies Doc Boy). Melanies Doc Boy has his ROM in open cutting. His sire, Doc Bars Boy 2: NCHA Finals/2nd Place (1985); Reserve World Champion Sr Cutting(1981); Performance Register of Merit(1981).

Professional Training Comments:

Needs to be reassured at times by her rider that she is doing the right thing after the ask. A pat on the neck is all that is needed. Prefers quiet seat and hands; not a high strung rider.
