“Smartie” has had 90 days of training/riding. He is just under 15 hands and would be a good candidate for a calf or heel horse deluxe. He has the muscle to stop the largest calves and the quickness to catch the heels. On the top - his sire, Just A Silver Duck, is near his NCHA COA. He was Reserve $1,000 Horse in the SDCHA (Rios Santana … ranch stallion was Champion). He and Heather were Champions in the $15,000 Amateur. On the bottom – Unforgettable's sire placed in a number of cutting futurities and had AQHA Grand Championships. This horse was haltered as a young horse and has had limited handling since.  We will put a halter and lead rope on each horse at time of pickup. 

His first year he was fed oats twice a day with free choice hay to insure normal growth. After the first year his diet has been grass with trace mineral supplement and lick tubs. He is current on worming and rabies.
He is halter gentle but has not been saddled. Because he was not started as 2-year-old there has been no stress on bone or muscle. He is sound and has run on rugged river pastures all his life. He will be able to put in a full day of work and be ready again the next day. In the winter he runs with our herd bulls so understands cattle. You can have him broken the way you want and not have to undo or live with someone else's training.

He must be caught up on his nomination fees to the Ranching Heritage Challenge before competing.
