Solid Gold Sparkler is one of our kindest mares. She is really people orientated and just wants to be petted and talked to. A half-brother to this filly has been the high selling stud colt. Another half- brother went to Texas in the Ranching Heritage Young Horse Development program. He competed in halter and lunge line never getting less than second. Another half brotherwent to the Young Horse Development program in Iowa and is looking forward to a careerin rodeo. Sparkler's full brother stands at stud in Minnesota. We have a half-sister in the broodmare band and she is nice. Here you have an 2 AQHA Superior Horses, an AQHA Champion and our foundation mare Sorrel Spark whose grandchildren have raked in the honors. She is the grandam of a World Champion Senior Pleasure Horse, an Open High Point Halter Mare, an AYQHA Supreme Champion, Race ROMs, Superior Halter, Youth Superiors in Huntseat and Showmanship. Anything with our breeding program with “Sparky” in the name goes back to this grand old mare!

Foals and Yearlings have not been haltered.  We will put a halter and lead rope on each horse at time of pickup.

Foals can remain on the dam's side at Sutton Ranch for No Board charge until they reach 4 months of age.

Royal Vaca Rey….began a career in cutting and due to injury was unable to compete. It made us very sad that he was not able to show the world his ability. His dam, Royal Black Peppy was born the same year as her brother, Peptoboonsmal. She had a limited career LTE $8,500 …. the resources were devoted to her brother. By blood “Royal” is a ¾ inverse brother to Once In A Blu Boon LTE $319.000, PE $720,000. To his credit are 14 major limited age event titles. His 2020 stud fee is $5,500.We believe “Royal” would have been able to show the same talent in the cutting pen. His sire, Vaca Rey, is a son of immortal Smart Little Lena, out of Autumn Boon (a Dual Pep daughter out of Miss Blue Boon .... Peptoboonsmal's mom) A suspensory tendon injury ended his promising career after the NCHA Futurity but his siblings have made it clear the potential he had. He is a full brother to Boogie Boon (2011 European Champion Senior Cutting), Wild Thing DNA (LTE $109, 558), Absolutely Stunning (LTE $107, 876), Boon A Little (LTE $118, 404) and a ¾ brother to Im Countin Checks (LTE $309, 641).“Vaca's” offspring show his ability as a sire. His daughter, Autumn Ruby Reys, reserve champion 4-year-old non-pro horse at Augusta . He has other NCHA money earning daughters: Bonitas Vaca Rey ($14, 170) and Sweet Lil Vaca ($2,264) plus Vacas Shiny Spoon a AQHA money and point earner. This is Royal's 3 crop of foals so we are just beginning to hear of their successes.
