2011 bay gelding, Shadows Watch Joe. We raised this gelding and have his parents. He has a little doll head, good tight neck and a big hip. He stands 15.3, has good bone and feet. He was brought along slow and trained for pleasure and trail, will go over obstacles, side pass, open gates, handle a slicker, back through and around up-rights, go over bridges and is 'bucket broke', meaning I have to stand on a 5 gallon bucket (because of age - mine not his) to get on him. Will stand quietly to mount from the ground, off a mounting block, fence, fender or whatever you need to stand on to mount.

You can saddle him up at 7:30 AM at -12 degrees below and ride him right off to look after the 26,000 head of cattle in the feed yard and continue all day long, which he does every other day. You can catch him anywhere, he loads and unloads and is a fast learner. He sees feed trucks, heavy equipment cleaning pens, sorts off sick cattle and pushes cattle to the load-out pens. If one needs to be roped, he wades right in to do the job and is starting to learn to play on Sundays roping on the heel side out of the box and is ready to go to a branding.

He is smooth as glass to ride, one hand rein, soft in the face, one step lope off and good stop. He has no buck, kick, rear or bite. He would be ideal for ranch classes, or just to enjoy a good ride with a group or alone to see the scenery. The only thing wrong with him is he is pictured in his working clothes. Joe was to be my own personal horse to keep but I found and fell in love with a My Intention filly that called my name. This is a one shot deal - if he doesn't sell, he won't be back.
