APHA All-around. He is a big, strikingly beautiful horse; with a gorgeous floaty trot and is solid in the bridle. This talented beautiful mover has racked up over 125 APHA points in 8 events and has already earned 4 ROM's! His breed show career only started at the end of 2015 and has only been hauled to a limited number of shows. Chevy and my daughter have brought home multiple belt buckles, several weekend high points, 16 year-end awards, and is 2nd place Pinto Senior Youth Zone 2 Horse of the Year, and Top 5 in APHA Zone 2 Youth 14-18
Not only does he support a lead change, but also his canter stride is easy to adjust, going from short lope-overs on a trail course to a big hunter course stride. With a tune up, he would be ready to start competing in Hunter Over Fences.
Whether you want a hunter under saddle and showmanship machine, a english all-around, a competitive halter horse, or take him to the open Hunter Circuit this guy will take you to the winner's circle!
Chevy's favorite side job at the barn is ponying the other horses and colts, he is patient and understanding of them, never tries to kick them, and since he's so big he doesn't let them intimidate him at all.
His current owners are looking to downsize from 3 horses to just one as daughter will be off to college soon. Chevy is currently in full time training, is fit, and ready to go show.
This gelding would not be suitable for a beginner rider.
