NCSU BLAZING KRYMSUN "Corona": A registered AQHA paint gelding born at the NC State Equine Educational Unit by AQHA & APHA stallion Kolored by Krymsun out of AQHA dam BlazingHotBarbieDoll. Corona's breeding allows him to be eligible for registration with APHA. He stands straight on his legs with length of hip and good muscle development of the quarter and top line. His neck bends smoothly at the shoulder with good muscle tone in the neck and shoulders. He shows great breed character in his build. His properly angled rear feet and hocks allow for good hock action while being smooth and athletic in his movement. His breeding and conformation would allow him to succeed in western pleasure, hunter under saddle, and competitive trail. The new owner will be given his AQHA papers and NCSU BLazing Krymsun is eligible to be registered APHA also.

Corona has also been used for teaching purposes in multiple classes at NCSU and NCSU CVM including ANS 411: Management of Growing and Performance Horses taught by award-winning, distinguished professor Dr. Paul Siciliano (recipient of the American Society of Animal Science (ASAS) and the Equine Science Society (ESS) 2017 Equine Science Award). This course is an overview of scientific applications used in management of growing and performance horses. Topics include: nutrition and feeding, disease prevention, exercise conditioning, and methods of evaluation and selection. Through this class, Corona has been halter broken, desensitized, and taught to get on and off of a trailer. Students spend many hours working hands on with all the horses in the two classes and with the regular volunteers at the unit.
