NCSU TIME TO JET "Perseus" : A registered AQHA gelding by Time for Chocolate out of AQHA Ultimate Jet Set born at the NC State Equine Educational Unit. He is athletic in his appearance with nice withers and a functional top to bottom line ratio. He shows a nice turn of the croup and an elegant top line. He stands straight and structurally sound with nice muscling about his shoulders and hindquarters. This gelding exhibits a longer, leaner neck with a clean cut about the head and throat. With his balanced conformation, he has potential in any sort of pleasure class. He is the type of prospect that would look good in any show stable.

He has also been used for teaching purposes in multiple classes at NCSU and NCSU CVM including ANS 411: Management of Growing and Performance Horses and ANS 410: ANS 410: Equine Breeding Farm Management taught by award-winning, distinguished professor Dr. Paul Siciliano (recipient of the American Society of Animal Science (ASAS) and the Equine Science Society (ESS) 2017 Equine Science Award). This course is an overview of scientific applications used in management of growing and performance horses. Topics include: nutrition and feeding, disease prevention, exercise conditioning, and methods of evaluation and selection. Through this class, Perseus has been halter broken, desensitized, and taught to get on and off of a trailer. Students spend many hours working hands on with all the horses in the three classes and with the regular NCSU equine unit volunteers.

NCSU Time to Jet is the last son of Time for Chocolate. This wonderful stallion stood at the NCSU equine educational unit for over 12 years. Not only has his genetics improved the offspring at NCSU, many other Universities have used his genetics to breed their mares to produce outstanding offspring.
