Notes:

"Knockout Rose" is a 6 year old Dutch/Thoroughbred cross mare who measures a tiny touch under 16 hands. Big bodied, black bay, totally gorgeous with a lovely personality to match.

Her dam was a Dutch mare by Hamar and was an accomplished show jumper and equitation horse, with a long USEF record. Rose has proven to have tremendous potential as a dressage mount. She has three quality gaits with a canter to die for, and a willing and quiet temperament that make her a fabulous fit for an amateur.

Rose enjoys trail riding and, with a little reassurance, is willing to tackle any new obstacles. She is happy to follow, good in a group, never offers to kick, not spooky or strong. Rose has about a dozen horse shows under her belt, including three recognized shows, where she scores in the high 60s and low 70s. She consistently gets 8's on gaits, and qualified for and competed in the BLM East Coast Championship.

Rose is SO EASY at the shows; she is a perfect lady in the warmup ring, quiet by the trailers, and travels fabulously. If you suffer from show nerves then Rose is the mare for you!

Rose has been professionally started over fences and is forward and brave to the jumps. She has a natural lead change, and does not have a stop in her.

Rose is totally sound with no maintenance, has no history of colic, injury, skin, vision or allergy problems. She is currently turned out during the day and stalled at night, but likes being in a stall and does not get hot without turnout--no lunging required before riding. Rose gets along with others in the field, has great ground manners, not a bit mare-ish, fairly easy keeper, and is generally pleasant to live with. Rose is a very mild cribber, easily controlled by a Miracle Collar--as long as she has hay in front of her, cribbing doesn't cross her mind.

Rose is a hard-to-find combination of a sweet disposition and great work ethic who will move up the levels quickly. She likes to learn, is very forgiving and does not get frazzled by rider errors or new information. Rose is currently ridden by an amateur, coached by a professional, and is ready to show with her new partner!
