Notes:

Throughout Montaro's pedigree is some of the best show jumping blood in the world.

Sire Mezcalaro (Voltaire x Ramiro Z) is acclaimed both as a successful international competitor and a sire of many successful upper level offspring. Mezcalero competed and placed in many international events including World Cup qualifiers, Nations Cup competitions and represented Mexico in the 1998 World Equestrian Games. Dam Uwita OHF (Coconut Grove xx x Cassini I) stamm 4259, Uwita is a proven producer of Premium foals for October Hill Farms. OHF liked the cross for Montaro so much they repeated it two more times. Uwita's sire, Coconut Grove, qualified for all major show jumping events: the Olympics, World Cup, Pan American Games, American Invitational and the American Grand Prix Association Championships. He has 100% positive approval status with 9 European, 9 U.S. and 1 Canadian Registry, the only Thoroughbred in U.S. history to accomplish this feat.

Montaro is a powerfully built athletic stallion with three good quality gaits and a tremendous amount of jumping ability in both form and scope.

Montaro was first approved as a 3-year-old by RPSI with a 9 for his canter and a 10 for his free jump. As a 5-year-old Montaro competed in three Young Jumper classes in Ocala finishing 1st of 12, 3rd of 15 and 1st of 12 respectively.

Montaro has an outstanding character and temperament, always with the willingness and ability to work whether with a seasoned pro or a timid amateur.

Montaro completed the 2015 70-Day Stallion Test finishing 3rd out of 14. Some of Montaro's scores were: character 10, temperament 9, ability and willingness to work 9.5, walk 8, trot 7, canter 8.5, all jumping scores 8.25 or above, rideability 9.25 and cross country 8.63.

Montaro's first foals arrived in 2017 and are exceeding expectations!
