Sheza Kid (barn name Josie) is a very nice mare sired by the great Appaloosa Hall of Fame stallion, Always Dignified, and out of an AQHA daughter of Kid Clu that has produced 5 ApHC foals that have earned 229.5 Halter points and 5 Halter ROMs. Josie is confirmed in foal to 5-time Appaloosa World and National Champion - Vegas Has Pizzazz - for an early January baby, which will be her first foal.

Josie was born too late to be shown as a weanling. As a yearling, Josie won the Yearling filly class at the 2017 All America Appaloosa Congress and was Reserve Champion overall mare. She stood 4th at the 2017 Breeder's Halter Futurity in the Open Yearling Color Mares class winning $2,375, and she stood in the Top Ten in both the Non-Pro and Open Yearling Mare halter classes at the 2017 Appaloosa World Show.

Josie is a non-symptomatic N/H mare in foal to an N/N stallion. Here early January foal will be eligible to show in the 2020 Appaloosa Halter futurity in both the Open and Non-Pro classes. Last year this Futurity paid out over $100,000 in cash and prizes. The foal will also be eligible to show in the 2020 Appaloosa Weanling Halter Stallion Service Incentive Class. Both of these events run concurrent with the Appaloosa World Show and offer lucrative payouts.

Josie is a sweet mare with a great disposition. When we bred her for the first time this year, she settled on the first try, as the early breed date would indicate. She is put together really well, which her show record demonstrates. She has no vices and is easy to handle because all of her showing and training. With her just being a 3 year old, her broodmare career is just getting started.
