Oslo E-S (dob: 04 april 2019), Colt, expected to reach 16.1 hh (according to the string test)

Oslo E-S has been bred to be a combined driving horse first and foremost. He is brave, curious (but not too much), naturally balanced and has a nice rhythm to his stride. He has a great built and has big solid feet. He was commented by the judges at the KWPN Keuring to have a great topline and his hindlegs are strong and powerful. His forelegs have a nice forward pitch as opposed to the typical high step horses. All these attributes are also well sought out for a prospect eventing horse.

Oslo E-S has been kept under great conditions, was born inside, has been turned-out as weather permits in big fields, has either spent the hot nights out and the stayed inside in a 10' x 20' stall during the day and, now with the colder weather starting in Quebec, he is going out during the day and stays in at night. He is current on his deworming and with farrier care. He has been eating hay supplements and minerals from day 1. Has had electrolytes during the hot summer period to ensure is water intake was adequate.

Although he is only 5 months of age. He has already demonstrated to be easily trainable, has been following on the lead since his first month of existence. Goes out with 5 mares in the field and is a true gentleman and very sociable. He is playful and very close to humans. He has been handled on a daily basis and knows how to behave. Clipping, bathing and trailering (only on 1 occasion) has not been an issue. He is eager to please.

Oslo E-S was shown at the KWPN Keuring on September 04th, 2019 where he earned his First Premium. He will be weaned in the next week and Coggins will be drawn at that time prior to shipping out. His dam was drawn and we have included her Coggins test for your review.

We, as a breeder, have carefully chosen bloodlines to bring versatility in our foals. Our goal is to breed FEI level Dutch Harness Horses for Combined driving thus choosing attributes that also suits eventing and dressage horses. Granted that his Grand Sire, Colonist, has won several prestigious competitions both in the Netherlands and in America, as a high step horse, he has been known to produce great prospects under saddle as well.

Karysa his dam, is an old soul, she stands at 16h1. Everyone that comes in our barn is attracted by Karysa, not for her perfect conformation but for the fact that there is nothing wrong with it. Her hind legs movements are also well appreciated. She is highly trainable and loves to work. She has passed down all of those qualities as well as her rather unique coloring.

Oslo E-S is truly a joy to be around and will make you fall in love with him as soon as you come across his way. He will WOW you !

Depending on location of the buyer, we like to offer (for much cheaper price than a carrier) the transport of the colt to your place. It is our way to get to know the new buyer and insuring that the colt's are and handling during transport is up to our standards.
