BREATHTAKING IMPORTED STALLION by BALOU DU ROULET

NEW VIDEO from 11-19-2019: https://youtu.be/rjLYHF93GQ8

Balou is dripping with quality and looks very similar to his sire, but is more suited for the hunter ring. He has ONE SPEED naturally, and that is HUNTER SLOW. He can compete with the best of the best and has three exceptional gaits, is brave to the jumps and very willing with natural lead changes. He has competed at WEF and is very impressive in the ring and definitely an eye catcher. For a stallion, he is an easy keeper and can easily be bred live cover with an experienced handler. He is easy to work with around the barn and has been professionally handled. I can not say enough great things about this stallion. He is simply amazing and ONE OF A KIND HEAD TURNER!

SIRE: BALOU DU ROUET  *1999, 171cm

Unique world record: among the Top Ten sires for both show-jumping and eventing

Balou du Rouet is not only by far the most successful son of his famous sire, the Olympic champion and three-time World Cup winner Baloubet du Rouet, but has also long been among the top ten of the world's best jumper sires according to WBFSH. He is also one of the ten best eventing sires in the world. Balou du Rouet owes this record, set for two years and therefore unique in the world, to the large number of successful offspring he has produced, led by the individual World Championship and European Championship bronze medallist as well as World Cup ninth placed show-jumper Bianca/Steve Guerdat/SUI and the European Championship gold medallist and individual ninth placed eventer Billy the Red/Kristina Cook/GBR. Further guarantors of success are: Saura de Fondcombe/Nadja Peter Steiner/SUI, European Championship team bronze winner, Brilliant du Rouet/Liubov Kochetova/RUS, World Championship participant, Babalou/Darragh Kenny/IRL, placed fourth in Aachen as well as Balou Rubin R/Pius Schwizer/SUI, Balance/Toni Haßmann and Baloubet/Mario Stevens etc. For the athletes registered in Germany alone, the total prize money won is above 3.8 million euros.

The winner of the Grand Prix of Munich, Balve and Spangenberg, Balzaci/Felix Haßmann, followed by Baccord/Gerrit Nieberg and Balous Bellini/Lutz Gripshöver, stand out in sport among the almost 60 licensed sons of Balou du Rouet. From a breeding point of view, two more premium stallions, the OS Reserve Champion Mare Honey Star and the Reserve Champion Colt and Champion Colt of the Goldfever Ring at the German Foal Championships have recently been added to the list of his successful offspring.

Balou du Rouet started his own career with the final score of 9.2 at 30-day test in Vechta. After serial victories in young horses classes, he won the qualification round at the German Championships with a score of 9.2, came eighth in the final of the six-year-olds and won show-jumping competitions up to 3*.

His dam Georgia also produced Cornet's Balou (by Cornet Obolensky), licensed stallion and German Champion, and Chatinue (by Chacco-Blue)/Patrick Döller, successful in 3* competitions.

The Oldenburg dam's sire Continue is also the dam's sire of Antello Z/Cameron Hanley/IRL, who took part in the World Championships and European Championships, Baloufina/Cian O'Connor/IRL and Camilla/Denis Lynch/IRL.

His grand-dam Georgette II also produced Sandrissimo (v. Sandro), licensed stallion and successful at advanced (S) level.

The sires Domino, Gepard and Granit, who appear in the earlier generations of Balou du Rouet's pedigree, have had a lasting influence on the mare base of Paul Schockemöhle's stud.

The licensed stallions Daddy Cool, Le Sandro and Lord Sandro also descend from the Westphalian line of Filmkunde.

I am downsizing due to my divorce and my father's declining health.

Pre-purchase exams and trials at Amber Hill Farm are encouraged.  Must be completed before bidding ends on November 21st.

Seller will provide access to veterinarians to obtain Medical Records and answer any questions upon request.
