Bella is a 16.1h 2008 proven thoroughbred broodmare that is a true black beauty. She has the sweetest temperament and always aims to please no matter what you ask of her - a classy mare with a true heart of gold. After a fairly successful racing career, winning a respectable $118,000, she became a broodmare and gave birth to 3 foals - the oldest has just begun his racing career. Her talent for jumping was noticed after she jumped over the creek in her field... so through the jump chute she went! And boy did she show some talent and desire to jump, going over the standards and in great form!
Although Bella is being sold as a broodmare, she is completely sound to be ridden - after six years since her last ride at the track, an amateur hopped on her (on 11/11/19) and she offered absolutely zero complaints and took everything in stride, despite being in a lighted arena in the dark and having her pasture mate screaming for her. This girl has an absolute GOLDEN temperament she'll surely pass on to her offspring.
She stands like a lady for breeding as well as for any necessary exams. Likewise, she's good for grooming, tacking, bathing, farrier, vet, trailer loading, and trailer riding. In the field, she is a saint of horse that has gotten along with geldings, mares (even super aggressive ones), and even cows for a while!
She has great, solid feet (no clubs) and thick bones, especially compared to many tbs commonly seen. That said, she does have some ankle calcification on her fronts due to her racing career, but she remains sound on them. Additionally, she does have a small intrauterine cyst, but according to the vet, it's something that can be managed next spring.

Bella got ridden today at the walk, trot, and canter and was an absolute pleasure! This was only her third ride in six years, and she definitely learned from the first two. Such a smart horse! Video is also available now and includes front/back conformation, grooming, and tacking footage.
