NCSU SCENIC DARKNESS, aka Bonsai, is a prospect by Kolored By Krymsun out of NCSUhypnotiqnthedark (by Time For Chocolate). He has a pending registration application with AQHA and is eligible for registration with APHA.

This gelding's conformation, pedigree, and demeanor make him the ultimate Western Pleasure prospect, however, he could excel in any number of disciplines. His movement and color will be sure to catch the judge's eye in the show ring. He was born and raised as part of North Carolina State University's Animal Science program.

Bonsai has been used for teaching a variety of undergraduate students with varying horse skills in the Animal Science program. In December 2019 Bonsai successfully graduated from the NCSU Animal Science Growing and Performance Laboratory where he was routinely haltered and handled for leading, grooming, veterinary and farrier procedures, taught to load quietly on and off of a horse trailer, and work in hand around obstacle courses. He has been consistently exposed to novel sights and sounds including state fair traffic, fireworks and large groups of students. All handling has been done under the supervision of equine professionals.
