Ms Coolest is a lovely mare and a good mamma. “Ethel” has no problems getting in foal or delivering, and is very easy to handle. She has earned points in Open, Amateur and Youth Halter classes with several Champion/Reserve Champions to her credit. She has had 5 foals for us (one deceased at 3 months prior to registration, due to a catastrophic injury), including JVF Cool Imagination, 2012 AQHA Select Top Ten (8th). Ethel has a 2020 colt by Telasecret, (she will be weaned by sale time), and is bred back to Telasecret for a January 2021 foal. This foal will be eligible for all major futurities including the BHF, WCHA, and Big Money. Ethel has lost part of her vision in her right eye due to an injury out in the field. There is scar tissue on the cornea from this injury, and the eye lid has scar tissue due to having a hemangioma removed several years ago. Neither of these affect her mobility or ability to live outside with the other mares; however, in the summer, we keep a face mask on her for protection from the flies.
