Independent Lass aka Kashmire is a very sweet horse, and a beautiful looker.

She is willing to please, is well behaved in the barn and gets along well with the other horses. She is great for the farrier. crossties and vet and loves her baths.

She has been ridden and had some training by pro dressage and grand prix jumper trainers. She also has some local show miles.

She is currently doing flat work and ground work as she was purchased for my granddaughter who was not ready for her forwardness. She still rides her on the walk, trot.

Kashmire has a lot of potential as an eventing horse or a jumper but needs a very experienced rider who can be the boss.

Hoof injury

We are not sure what Kashmire did, other than she torn part of her side hoof off.

It happened in early May. She was seen by the vet and I was using a antibiotic cream and kept it covered until it became healed tissue wise. We also have her on double strength Farriers formula. The farrier put a special shoes on her and saw her yesterday and was amazed at how much the hoof has grown. He stated in would be all grown in about 3 to 4 months. This has not affected her ability to be ridden or jumped.

The discoloration is from the meds.

Kashmire's hoof should be completely grown out in the next 5-6 months. I do not anticipate there being any issue with her soundness due to the previous injury to the hoof.
