Notes:

""Irish"" is a huge colt, as big as a six-month-old foal, and he has been huge, strong and extremely balanced since birth. His sire is Dirty Callahan who has done well in the show pen in halter and western pleasure, and his dam is a daughter of Zippos Sensation who has herself produced an APHA Champion. I don't own my own place, I board my horses, and things are done in 30-day monthly ""batches."" Irish, having been foaled on 3/30/20, has been with his mom three full months now and we intend to have him weaned by the time is four months old; i.e., 7/31/20, and everything that has been done with him, everything that will yet be done with him, is based on that timeline: To have him weaned, halter broken and ready to put on a trailer for his new home as of 7/31/20.

I applied for his APHA regular registry overo papers on 6/29. His registered name will be Dirtyneverwassosweet. I also applied to have, of course, a DNA kit sent to me to get genetic profile for his papers and for his 5-panel results. His sire, Dirty Callahan, is 5-panel negative. I do not believe his dam has ever been 5-panel tested.

Eligible for PHBA (regular or palomino bred as yet undetermined), eligible for regular PtHA registration papers.

At the barn where I board, weaning is done gently and gradually. We will bring Irish and his dam, ""Sadie,"" up to a small quarantine pen area where the two will stay together for 3 days, then Irish will be put in a quarantine pen immediately next to Sadie but separated by 4-rail wood fence and hot wire so the two can see each other and be near each other but nursing will be prohibited. Once Irish, who is extremely social and loves human interaction and actively seeks out humans, is up in the front with his dam, he will be haltered and started on leading. We can already lift his feet out in the field. At the time we get him haltered, I will pull hair to send back to the APHA to finalize his registration papers. I will also call our vet to come out and pull a Coggins on him - - and at the same time, I will get a health certificate done at my cost for the sake of his new owner. SO, while some of the informational fields in this auction form might have been left empty at the time I typed this - - such as the Coggins number, such as his registration number - - it's because am waiting to get him out of the field and up and haltered to get this done. But I guarantee that his papers are pending with the APHA, he WILL have regular overo papers, I am complying, and will continue to comply, with all the rules of the auction concerning paperwork, and I guarantee those papers. He is absolutely eligible for PHBA papers but I don't know if he will get regular palomino papers or palomino bred papers; his belly spots might have too much white for regular registry.

Irish is extremely brave and thinks humans are the best things ever. At the same time, he has never been allowed to be disrespectful. We are mindful that we don't want to allow a foal to get away with anything we would not want a grown horse to get away with and we insist that he mind his manners, move away when told, and not put his teeth on us. So he is very friendly, but he is respectful. He's really smart, agile as a cat, and is going to be a super horse for pretty much any discipline you'd choose to train him in. His dam has already produced an APHA Champion; I believe Irish could easily be another! He has the attitude and temperament to accept training easily and probably to be a youth horse prospect, as well.
