Notes:

Ollie is a 9 year old, 17 hand, unraced Thoroughbred gelding. This sweet gelding has an ""in your pocket"" type of personality. He is low on the pecking order, and easy to get along with. I originally purchased Ollie for myself as a prospect to bring along in the hunters, but as it often goes with trainer horses, I never found the time to work with him consistently as client horses took precedence. Due to my lack of time, Ollie sat in a pasture for several months with my full intentions of getting back to work with him, but I never found the time. Recently, I also injured my knee (in an un-horse-related accident), so this was the final straw where I knew I had come to terms that I was not going to have the time to work with Ollie once again for quite some time. He is too nice to sit any longer, so I made the decision to sell him. Knowing that Ollie needed to be legged up to sell, I had one of our amateur riders pull Ollie out of the pasture to ride him. After several months of no ride time at all, he hacked around beautifully with an amateur (even his first ride out). He is not the typical ""hot"" Thoroughbred. When in consistent work, he can even get somewhat lazy, especially in the hot summer months. Ollie is a beautiful flat kneed mover with suspension at the trot and a ground covering canter. He needs a little help to balance through the corners and to connect his body under saddle, but with more saddle time he is getting better and better. He has been jumped over small fences in the past and does have a lead change, but has not been asked to jump or do a lead change in quite some time due to the time he had off. He has been ridden once or twice per week by an amateur for the past 3 months, and he is getting more in shape with every ride. He should be ready to start back over fences soon. Ollie has the potential to be an excellent hunter or even lesson horse or Dressage mount. He has a kind demeanor, and could go nicely in so many directions. He is currently wearing front shoes only, but has gone barefoot for several months when living in a pasture, and did fine). We just recently put shoes on him to give him more support. Ollie can live in a pasture 24/7 or in a stall with turnout. He has no vices, is sound with no health issues, and is ready to find his new partner!
