NCSU IMA SHY BEGO, aka “Sycamore”, is a prospect by Ima Bego Too out of NCSU Shy Covergirl (Shys First Leaguer). This prospect's sire is 87% foundation bred who consistently makes his “mark” on his foals, which includes a calm temperament, willingness to learn, a balanced conformation, as well as strong feet and legs. Sycamore has a masculine head and neck, a beautifully balanced body, with correct feet and legs.

This gelding's conformation, pedigree, and temperament make him an excellent all-around prospect who could excel in a number of disciplines including halter classes, western pleasure, and more. He was born and raised as part of North Carolina State University's Animal Science program. Sycamore has been used for teaching a variety of undergraduate students with varying horse skills at NCSU's Reedy Creek Equine Farm.

In December 2019 Sycamore successfully graduated from the NCSU Animal Science Growing and Performance Laboratory where he was routinely haltered and handled for leading, grooming, veterinary and farrier procedures. He was taught to load quietly on and off of a horse trailer, work in hand around obstacle courses and has been introduced to a saddle. He has been consistently exposed to novel sights and sounds including state fair traffic, fireworks and large groups of students. All handling has been done under the supervision of equine professionals.

Sycamore is microchipped and up to date on all preventative care (vaccines, hoof trimming, Coggins, deworming). He will come with a copy of his health records.
