Meet The Dude. Dude is an 11yo bay gelding standing just shy of 16h.  

He's quite a tank and we suspect maybe part QH and either warmblood or draft. Dude is a pretty cool, well rounded guy with perfect manners.  He has never been sick or lame, lives in or out, and his super sweet temperament has made him a barn favorite. 

We've had Dude for 4 years having purchased him to be used in our small trail riding business. He's a great trail horse and has primarily been our lead horse and is great at the job.  His rider can quickly move him over to block another horse, dismount and leave him untied to stand at the front of the line, or even to lead 2 horses from his back if necessary. 

The first winter Dude was with us I schooled him in the arena and he proved to be a quick study acquiring proficiency at dressage work up to second level. In the ring he is responsive and pleasant.  He is light to the leg and nice in the contact.  He finds lateral work easy and has a fabulous canter.

Dude is for sale because although he has worked well as a lead horse for us and is a safe ride he is generally too responsive to be able to go in the line with a beginner rider if needed and in colder months he's a bit too forward and sensitive to thrive as a school horse.  

He would be a great match for a rider looking for a well rounded partner…maybe a dressage test one day, a hunter pace another, or even western dressage or working equitation.  

Whatever your goals…Dude is simply a fun horse to look forward to enjoy daily adventures with.
