Winston is a five year old thoroughbred-saddlebred cross. He is super sweet and he loves people; he is basically like a big dog. Winston is super easy to handle and stands quietly to be groomed, tacked, bathed, and mounted. He is good for the vet and farrier and is easy to deworm. Winston has never had any health or lameness issues. He is barefoot and has fantastic feet! Winston has trail miles on all kinds of terrain. He will cross logs, creeks, rocks, or mud, and he will follow or lead. Winston has been ridden at Uwharrie national park (which is super rocky) with no problems, his feet are fantastic! Winston has been hauled to several local shows to get used to the environment, and he has been cross country schooling twice: he absolutely loved it! Winston loads and travels great! He is super easy to be around and is the same horse on and off property.

He has schooled up to about three feet and has tons of scope and tight knees. However, he can be timid towards the first few jumps while warming up.

Winston is talented enough for a professional and quiet enough for a confident amateur looking for a fun horse to compete or just enjoy.

Winston has a soft mouth and has just recently been introduced to a bit (Winston has been riding in a bitless bridle until about a month ago).

He is up to date on shots, coggins, wormer, and farrier.

Winston is only for sale because he was purchased as a project last year and is now ready for his new home.

He does not bite, kick, spook, buck, or bolt. However, Winston will sometimes pop up a little when he gets excited while cantering (see videos). He is super low maintenance and can be ridden every day or once a month!
