Ruby was never started under saddle due to a ligament injury in her youth - and is therefore being offered as broodmare sound only. She is easy to catch and handle. She stands for the farrier and grooming (loves the attention) and loads/unloads without issues. Ruby rules the roost! Excellent mother. Shows heat clearly and cycles regularly.

Her most recent foal was a 2019 filly by Yellow Jersey. We did not attempt to breed her in 2020. This year she had a positive uterine culture and was treated. The vet said she looked good on clinical exam so we took a chance and bred her without repeating the culture. She was inseminated but did not catch. Our plan was to re-culture her to make sure any infection was cleared, and then give the breeding another go. Ultimately we ran out of energy due to focusing on breeding our other three reining mares. Vet was confident she would catch. We believe that if we had her cultured and treated her again before insemination that she would be in foal. For the Yellow Jersey foal she had been treated and then caught first time.
