Notes:

This rare offering of a two-year-old filly from Blue Creek Appaloosas will be a great addition to any Foundation Appaloosa breeding program. Kayuna is homozygous for the leopard pattern gene LP/LP. She has one copy of PATN1. Thus she is a snowcap fewspot and any offspring will have one copy of LP.

As a homozygous Appaloosa, Kayuna has CSNB (congenital stationary night blindness). CSNB went basically undetected forever until it was discovered by The Appaloosa Project geneticists. It doesn't affect horses at all during normal daylight hours and is easily managed. Many old-timers still deny that it even exists, it is that unnoticeable. Kayuna moves well and will be easy to train. She has had some basic training, halter, longing, and round pen work.

Her mother Desi (SHA Patchobys Design) was described by her new owner as ""This is the horse I have been waiting all my life for."" Don't wait all your life to take advantage of this rare chance at a special horse. She is 100% FPD, GAP5. enrolled in the GAP (Generation Advancement Program) with the Appaloosa Horse Club. The only reason she is being offered for sale is that we have a pasture full of GAP6s.

The owner started both her sire and dam as two-year-olds. Charles Potts rode SHA Patchobys Design, her dam, over 500 miles in 2014, including over 100 miles on the 50th Anniversary of the Chief Joseph Trail Ride.

This is a horse for a lifetime. And being LP/LP she will be prone to foaling spotted babies.
