Hip 136: Hold Steady by Trish Sevenson

Oil - 16" x 16"
Notes:

Trish Stevenson lives in the ranching country of eastern Montana, surrounded by her inspiration, the contemporary western lifestyle, where the American Quarter Horse is used on a daily basis for work and pleasure. “I love to portray the action of horse and rider in motion, connecting as a team, whether moving cattle or leaning into a wild bronc at a rodeo,” she says. Family and friends are used as models, doing what they love to do on the horses that they love.

Trish grew up in a rural area west of Denver, either riding horses or drawing them. She attended the Colorado Institute of Art for graphic design and illustration and studied fine art in Europe, but considers herself a perpetual student of art, always challenging her process.

Trish's artwork was recently featured in Art of the West and Western Art Collector magazines, and has been exhibited at the Amerind Museum, Cheyenne Frontier Days Western Art Show, International Museum of the Horse, Bosque Art Classic, Out Western Art Show, Mountain Oyster Club, and is represented by several galleries.
