Karen Bakke was born in 1956 and started painting in 1969. With over 42 years as a professional artist, she has completed hundreds of commissioned murals and paintings in oil, acrylic and watercolor. A person blessed with high energy and discipline, she is always seeking adventure, knowledge, and a challenge, which has rewarded her with much success as a painter.

Painting the horse has been a highlight in her career, focusing on their eyes and personality.

Her health and fitness are a priority, a good morning workout at the gym will jump start her creative juices for a long fruitful day of painting.
