ATI Irishuwerewhisky (Meatball) was foaled at The Ohio State University's ATI Equine Facility in February 2019.  He is sired by Shiners Lena Saki, a son of Shiners Lena Doc who is an NRHA money earner and performance point earner in reining and working cow classes.  Meatball's pedigree also traces back to the legendary Shining Spark, an NRHA Hall of Fame stallion with offspring earnings in excess of seven million dollars.
 
Meatball was transferred to the Columbus campus equine facility in August 2021 to be started under saddle Advanced Equine Behavior & Training class and sold in the Buckeye Bonanza Horse Sale.  He acclimated quickly to his new surroundings and was started under saddle in September by student trainer Macailyn Maciel and has progressed nicely in his training this semester.  Meatball has no behavioral or physical problems of which I am aware.  He does have a scar on his right hind leg from a superficial injury that happened when he was a foal.  A copy of Meatball's health records and training journals are included in his sale portfolio. 
 
Meatball has been ridden in the arena, around the farm, and hauled to Mohican State Park and Lobdell Reserve for trail riding.  He has a willing disposition, easily maneuvers obstacles in the arena, and is quiet and relaxed under saddle.  With continued training, he could do well in a variety of ranch horse classes or out on the trail.  Due to his limited experience under saddle, he is suitable for an intermediate or experienced rider at this time.  For more information, photos, and videos, please visit www.buckeyebonanza.osu.edu.
