Certified On The Spot. 2009 AQHA Gelding, 15.1. Bubba has a great personality and is willing to learn and forgive, he is best suited for an intermediate to advanced rider but was shown by a beginner under the guidance of a trainer. Bubba has been shown this past year in open shows and 4-H events, he excels in Western Pleasure, Horsemanship, and Showmanship. No soundness issues or bad habits, he stands for the farrier and for clipping. He is a hard keeper and requires grain to keep his body weight up. He is currently on grain one time a day. Family purchased Bubba October 2020 for their beginner youth daughter as her first show horse. Family has decided that he is not the best fit for their daughter and she will also be moving to a different discipline.

We have X-Rays from October 29, 2020 from the knee and hock down along with the full PPE for anyone to view, please email [email protected] to receive them. In the PPE in October of 2020 the Vet did find that he was stiff in his left hock during the flex test and gave him a 1/5 lameness on that extremity. Vet concluded that he believed down the road he might need hock injections or a joint supplement. No maintenance was done this year, we have never had him take a lame step or be noticeably stiff outside of the flex test.

Owner had a successful walk trot season this past year at local open shows and 4-H fair. After their local county fair in August Bubba took a short break from work, he was placed into a lesson program two months ago to get back into the swing of things. He has performed excellent in the lesson program, participating in group and individual lesson across a variety of disciplines (WP,HMS,EQ,&HUS). Bubba is only downfall is that he feeds off of his riders emotions. If you are very nervous and hesitant he tends to become very fidgety. He does not get mean or aggressive just tends to loose his patience and moves back and forth, if you are a rider who does not get bothered by that and just continues on your way he stops and goes right back to work. He is in need of a handler that is not intimidated and tells him when to stop and stand still.

Bubba has great stall manners and loves attention. Please reach out to the email above with any questions regarding Bubba.
