This is a really handy little gelding that's as wide as he is tall. Hickory really rides around, is soft and responsive, and has a great handle. He wants to stop hard, ride around correct, and get along. While this is probably too much horse for a beginner, he is gentle and would fit anyone with some experience.
Hickory has been shown in lower level versatility and would excel in a show home or for someone that wants to trail ride and ride out on the ranch. He has roped the sled a little bit, and with some consistency would absolutely make a rope horse. He is just watchy enough to scream calf horse, and cowy enough with a big enough stop to make a heel horse.
