Handled properly from day one! A neat little guy with a sense of humor and adventure who is easy to work around.

Ruger is FUN and super handy. He is an instructors dream. If you want something to teach your intermediate-advanced riders on he will keep them honest while being safe. If you want to pony a beginner on another horse, he has done it. If you have a day off and you want to go trail ride - he wants to go too. If you are a client of a trainer looking for something to keep at home, you can leave him in the pasture for days and just saddle up and ride when you have time to practice. He would also be the perfect horse for a devoted teenager who loves to play around with different disciplines or tricks!! He has been to a few local shows but prefers trails.

Loads and trailers well, stands great for the farrier or vet, easy to catch, and lives in the pasture barefoot! He prefers not to be stalled - he has lived in mixed herds and is pretty much always in the middle of the totem pole.

Ruger is smart and willing to learn anything - ready for you to finish in your discipline of choice or just enjoy him at home! Extends and collects at all three gaits. Will side pass, leg yield, work gates, backs well, he has seen cows and shows interest in working them. Happily hops over fallen trees out on the trail and crosses water with encouragement. He has started learning some tricks. He has even carried a flag a handful of times and had a BB gun shot off of him with no negative reaction - do not miss his videos!!! He does still need a confident rider to work through new experiences so would not recommend for a beginner until he has had more miles or you are leading him.

*** selling as a cribber if he will be stalled for long periods of time and you still may see him sneak a few in between bites of you feed him in a stall.
