Tim Kimura, also known as ""Man of Trail"", has been an AQHA member since 1984. He has spent most of his life in the horse industry, starting out with California Reined Cow Horse (now NRCHA). In his earlier days, he coached dozens of exhibitors at AQHA and open shows on the West Coast. This evolved into him becoming a world-renowned trail course designer and clinician. For the past 25 years, his trail patterns have been ridden in shows all over the globe. He draws approximately 100 trail patterns a year for these events. His trail courses are inclusive to all riders, difficulty ranges from Level 1 to seasoned open horses.

Tim's creativity and vision were the driving forces that revolutionized trail horse classes. He was the recipient of the 2020 National Snaffle Bit Association Impact Award for his innovation and contributions to the industry. Tim is always willing to offer advice and suggestions to exhibitors and to help beginners comprehend the core principles of trail. He frequently shares his knowledge through informal, impromptu sessions at the horse shows he attends, as well as at clinics all over the world, including Nutrena Ride the Pattern clinics at AQHA Championship events.
