""Hope"" is a good minded mare that was used as a lesson horse before retiring to be a broodmare. The previous owner to her current one also used her as a kids summer camp horse. While in the lesson program with her current owner she happily had advanced beginner and novice students riding her. She would move out well, had comfortable gaits, and was neither too responsive nor dull to the aids. She navigated ground poles and other basic arena obstacles with ease. It was decided to retire ""Hope"" when arthritic changes, primarily in her knees, prevented her from staying sound.

""Hope"" has had 2 foals, both of whom are attractive, good minded, and quick learners. She has always been easy to handle for the vet and get in foal. She is not currently in foal due to sudden changes in the stallion's location, timing with a holiday weekend plus the last day the stallion was available, and moderate to poor quality semen provided. We do not feel it was ""Hope's"" fault she didn't catch.

Hope stands very nicely for the farrier, well for the vet, loads/hauls well, gets along great with other horses, loves to be groomed, ties both cross ties or single, and has nice ground manners. She is a big girl with a big stride and will occasionally test to see if she can be the one in charge (aka walks too fast and gets ahead of you, then needs a couple reminders to correct) but has not shown any other dramatic reactions or overly dominant behavior. She is a little stubborn at times too.
