Purpose:
To promote the breeding of quality Ranch horses that will be marketable in today's horse industry through the establishment of a closed phased-in progressive futurity.

GFTG Stallion Owner Incentives:
Stallion owners will receive 10% of the total purse to be distributed based on the placings from the Stallion's offspring at the GFTG Futurity. Distribution to each Stallion owner will be made within 30 days following the Futurity. Stallion owners whose stallion's service sells through the Stallion Service Auction will receive one (1) free entry in the Futurity. The stallion owner will receive one free entry regardless of who buys the stallions service. Futurity Entry fees due by July 1st.

GFTG Successful Bidder:
Successful bidders receive one (1) free GFTG class entry.

Closed:
Futurity entries are limited to foals, which are sired by Stallions that sold in the previous year Stallion Auction. Those foals will be eligible for the GFTG Ranch class. See Buy-in for more information on eligibility.

GFTG Eligibility:
All donated Stallions must be registered ABRA, APHA, ApHC, AQHA, PHBA or PtHA to be eligible for the Stallion Service Auction. All foals must be registered in the appropriate breed association to show in the Futurity

GFTG Futurities Offered:
Beginning in 2024 a Ranch Rail Futurity class will be offered.

Starting in 2024 a Ranch Rail Futurity class will be offered and any eligible Three Year Old can show in the GFTG Futurity Ranch Rail class through 2027.

* O.P.E.A. Futurity Committee retains the right to add or remove classes depending on participation. Current Negative Coggins required to show in Futurity

Entry Fee Schedule:

Entry fees for Get sired by Stallions whose service sells in the Go For The Gold Stallion Service Auction will be as follows:
Postmarked on or before July 1 of the year to be shown:           $150.00
Postmarked July 1 through August 17 of the year to be shown:  $200.00
At show date of the year to be shown:                                      $250.00
You must provide the Futurity Committee your entry by the dates shown above in order to show.

ENTRIES WILL NOT BE PROCESSED UNTILL ALL FUTURITY CLASS FEES ARE PAID IN FULL. NO EXCEPTIONS. Entry forms are required on foals sired by eligible Stallions which do not fall into the Stallion Owner or Successful Bidder category per schedule shown above. All late fees will be distributed in their respective Futurity class purse. Entries must abide by the rules of the O.P.E.A. Go For The Gold Stallion Service Auction and Futurity.

Membership:
All owners, riders, or handlers showing in the Go For The Gold Futurity must be members of O.P.E.A. The $25.00 membership is not required by Stallion owners donating a Stallion service or anyone wishing to purchase Stallion Service from our auction

Bids:
Beginning 2017, stallions are listed with Professional Horse Services, an online Stallion Auction Service at www.prohorseservices. com. Any number of breedings may be purchased based on the highest bid. Opening and Closing Dates for the Stallion Service Auction is January 11 through January 14, 2023. After the Stallion Service auction closes Professional Horse Services will continue to list available stallions until June 1 of the current year. Available stallions as well as the sold stallions will be listed on the Go For The Gold website at www.opeagoforthegold.net. Any stallion service not sold at the close of the auction will be available at 50% of the advertised breeding fee or their minimum bid through the breeding year. Stallion owner buy back is available at one-half of the advertised fee or $400.00, whichever is greater. Breedings purchased may not be resold. All normal guarantees shall apply.

Buy-in:
The buy-in for a breeding to any stallion registered AQHA, PHBA, APHA, PtHA or ApHC is 50% of the advertised breeding fee or $500.00, whichever is greater. No free entry is given in our Futurity if purchased as a buy-in. The stallion owner is not eligible for the 10% pay back offered in the GFTG Stallion Owner Incentive program (see pg. 1 of Rules). If Get from a Ranch Horse stallion elects to show in the Weanling, Yearling or Two Year Old Division a buy-in of a Halter/Performance stallion is required to be eligible to show in any of these classes and Halter/Performance Rules apply .

Distribution of Purses for Ranch Horse:
Three Year Old 50% in 2024
25% in 2025
25% in 2026

Return Services:
If a mare does not conceive the first year of service the mare will be given a return service for the second year. In case of death of the original mare or if the mare should prove unbreedable a substitute mare will be accepted. Return Services after the 2nd year will be at the sole discretion of the Stallion owner. Go For The Gold will offer no refunds. Money from the stallion service fee will remain in the auction in the year purchased but the foal will be moved to his year of eligibility.

Credit/Refunds/Substitutions/Payment Methods:
In the event of the death of a stallion or should he become unserviceable, or should the stallion owner, manager, or lessee refuse to honor the contract for any reason, credit will be given to purchaser for the following year for another (1) breeding fee through the auction. There will be NO REFUNDS.

Transfer of a free entry from a Stallion Owner or Mare Owner to another person will be $75.00 payable to GFTG.

Credit Cards accepted (MC/Visa/Discover/AX). A 4% processing fee is applicable if paid by credit card. Payments made by cash or check reflect discount.

Any rules herewith can be changed, added to, or removed at the discretion of the GFTG Futurity Committee of the Oklahoma Palomino Exhibitor's Assn. (O.P.E.A.) and will have the final word in interpreting or supplementing the rules and conditions of the Futurity if the need arises

Dates to Remember:
- ProHorse Services Online Stallion Auction opening and closing dates January 10 through January 13.

January 15 through May 31: Stallions listed with ProHorse Services are available at 50% of their Advertised fee, or their minimum bid.
June 1 through December 31: Stallion are available through Go For The Gold at 50% of their Advertised Fee, or their minimum bid.
July 1 of the year to be shown: $150.00 Entry Fee is due for each Futurity Class.
July 2 through August 17: $50.00 late fee will be added to the $150.00 Entry Fee, making a total of $200.00 for each Futurity Class.
At show date: $100.00 penalty will be added to the $150.00 Entry Fee making a total of $250.00 for each Futurity Class
