Successful in Grand Prix Jumpers, Regular Working Hunters, and Adult Amateur Hunters.

  • CURRENT BID: $
  • NEXT BID: $200.00
  • Sells with NO RESERVE
  • TIME REMAINING: 53 Days, 16 Hours, 54 Minutes

Record: Successful in Grand Prix Jumpers, Regular Working Hunters, and Adult Amateur Hunters.

  • Type/Breed: Hanoverian
  • Papers: No

Notes:

Findus 1999 16.1hh Imported Hanoverian Stallion (For Pleasure/ Caletto I/ Landadel) approved OLD GOV, sBs, NAS.
Findus' foals are eligible in other European and US registries.
Findus is the total package! He had a successful career showing in the Grand Prix Jumpers, Regular Working Hunters, and Adult Amateur Hunters. He has the talent for any professional yet the temperament for an Amateur. His talent and easy going Amateur friendly attitude has been proven to be passed to his foals. Findus has foals competing successfully in upper level jumpers and even dressage in Argentina. Findus was also picked to be a part of a South Korean breeding program. His foals in the States are just now starting their show careers in both the hunters and jumpers.
Findus' pedigree boasts some of the best Hanoverian and Holsteniner breeding.
Findus is by For Pleasure (Fuioso II / Grannus) who is a two-time Olympic Gold Medal winner, World Champion, Hanoverian Stallion of the year in 2000, and German horse of the year in 1995. For Pleasure won 1.8 million euro in prize money. His sire, Furioso II, is considered one of the most influential sport horse sires in the world who, in 1989, was the top sire in Germany based on money earned by his get. For Pleasure has sired 70 approved sons
Findus' damsire, Chanel, is by Caletto I (Cor de la Bryere / Consul). Chanel, when crossed with "For Feeling (by For Pleasure) produced another approved stallion son in Hannover, "For Good Feeling" who won his 30 day stallion testing. For Good Feeling and Findus are ¾ siblings. Interestingly, Chanel's dam, Lorraine (by Landadel) is out of Gigantin -- dam of For Pleasure. This makes a "circular pedigree" strengthening the prized genes in the offspring.

It's the Luck of the Irish has made a dramatic impact on the Irish Draught in the U.S. siring 100+ partbreds safely taking care of their amateur owners. He passes exceptional temperament, bravery and ability to learn. This, of course, is not without sacrificing athleticism, soundness and work ethic. Both damlines of It's the Luck of the Irish's pedigree were proven in the show ring as well as the breeding shed.
Lucky is by the International jumper Flagmont King, full brother to Flagmount Diamond and Flagmount Boy sired by the legendary King of Diamonds. He was a big athletic horse, earning 246 SJAI points and 220 International points. He was only R.I.D. Stallion to win open competition against the clock. He beat top horses such as Spring Elegance, Maloney's Error, etc. in Grand Prix Competition. He competed at the R.D.S., Millstreet and Salthill and jumped on the British Junior Team winning P&O European Ferries Rose Bowl at Royal Highland Show in Edinburgh. Also jumped in Portugal, Belgium, France and Switzerland.
Flagmont King was a quality R.I.D. sire with great temperament and correct confirmation and movement, sound of wind and limb. Jumped in International Competition until 1991. Maggie's Last was imported from Ireland. Her dam, Mrs. Thatcher was the foundation mare of the famous Suma Stud. Mrs. Thatcher tragically died giving birth to Maggie. After she passed her inspection at two Maggie left for the States "She amazes me with her forward willing nature and her powerful athletic jumping ability."
The bottom half of TDD's pedigree is equally as interesting. His dam, Dutch Treatt was a proven working hunter before retiring to breeding duties. Dutch Treatt has produced very well through the experienced hands of Victoria Carson of Flying Chesterfield Farm. Hall of Fame is by Art Deco out of a NA/WPN approved thoroughbred, Strike Bound. Hall of Fame was High Score Stallion at his ISR/OLD inspection site out of 12 stallions and scored a 9 for jumping. He completed his 100 day testing and has been ranked in the Top 10 Dutch warmbloods for producing ASHA rated hunters. Strike Bound is line bred to Endeavour through Thoroughbred family #2.
