LOT B: USE THE MAXIMUM BID FEATURE.

It will keep you on top at the best price.

What happens when you come up against a Max Bid?

  • CURRENT BID: $
  • Sells with NO RESERVE
  • LOT IS CLOSED

  • Type/Breed: Warmblood (no papers)
  • Papers: No

Notes:

USE THE MAXIMUM BID FEATURE.

  • It will keep you on top at the best price.
  • Learn how it works and how to use it.

Maximum Bid is the surest way to win the horses or ponies you are interested in at the lowest possible price.  Max Bid works for you by automatically bidding the next increment until another bidder bids more than your Max Bid. Remember, it only bids what it needs to bid to keep you on top!

Just enter your maximum price in the appropriate box when bidding. (see the photo in this listing)

The Max Bid feature is particularly useful when you are bidding on multiple horses or ponies.

Max Bid places a bid for you at the next increment above any bid up to your maximum.

What happens when you come up against a Max Bid?

The Max Bid automatically, and immediately, bids the next increment higher than your bid. When you place a bid that is surpassed by an existing max bid you will see this message “Bid accepted. However, another bidder has placed a higher bid.

If your bid matches the top bid of a Max Bid, you will see this message, “Another bidders has bid this amount”.  The Max Bid was in prior to your bid so it is placed first.  Another bid will put you on top.

In either case, you can place another bid immediately.

LOT 3: Findus

1999 Bay Stallion (For Pleasure x Caletto I / Landadel) Donated by Jennifer Dachton, Erinwood Sporthorses

Successful in Grand Prix Jumpers, Regular Working Hunters, and Adult Amateur Hunters.

  • CURRENT BID: $475.00
  • Sells with NO RESERVE
  • LOT IS CLOSED

Record: Successful in Grand Prix Jumpers, Regular Working Hunters, and Adult Amateur Hunters.

  • Type/Breed: Hanoverian
  • Papers: No

Notes:

Findus 1999 16.1hh Imported Hanoverian Stallion (For Pleasure/ Caletto I/ Landadel) approved OLD GOV, sBs, NAS.
Findus' foals are eligible in other European and US registries.
Findus is the total package! He had a successful career showing in the Grand Prix Jumpers, Regular Working Hunters, and Adult Amateur Hunters. He has the talent for any professional yet the temperament for an Amateur. His talent and easy going Amateur friendly attitude has been proven to be passed to his foals. Findus has foals competing successfully in upper level jumpers and even dressage in Argentina. Findus was also picked to be a part of a South Korean breeding program. His foals in the States are just now starting their show careers in both the hunters and jumpers.
Findus' pedigree boasts some of the best Hanoverian and Holsteniner breeding.
Findus is by For Pleasure (Fuioso II / Grannus) who is a two-time Olympic Gold Medal winner, World Champion, Hanoverian Stallion of the year in 2000, and German horse of the year in 1995. For Pleasure won 1.8 million euro in prize money. His sire, Furioso II, is considered one of the most influential sport horse sires in the world who, in 1989, was the top sire in Germany based on money earned by his get. For Pleasure has sired 70 approved sons
Findus' damsire, Chanel, is by Caletto I (Cor de la Bryere / Consul). Chanel, when crossed with "For Feeling (by For Pleasure) produced another approved stallion son in Hannover, "For Good Feeling" who won his 30 day stallion testing. For Good Feeling and Findus are ¾ siblings. Interestingly, Chanel's dam, Lorraine (by Landadel) is out of Gigantin -- dam of For Pleasure. This makes a "circular pedigree" strengthening the prized genes in the offspring.

After she passed her inspection at two Maggie left for the States "She amazes me with her forward willing nature and her powerful athletic jumping ability."
The bottom half of TDD's pedigree is equally as interesting. His dam, Dutch Treatt was a proven working hunter before retiring to breeding duties. Dutch Treatt has produced very well through the experienced hands of Victoria Carson of Flying Chesterfield Farm. Hall of Fame is by Art Deco out of a NA/WPN approved thoroughbred, Strike Bound. Hall of Fame was High Score Stallion at his ISR/OLD inspection site out of 12 stallions and scored a 9 for jumping. Record: Sire of 2016 Olympic Gold Medalist BIG STAR; sire of two Olympic Top 10 horses in 2012

  • Type/Breed: Selle Francais

Notes:

Quick Star was the horse who brought Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum into the Grand Prix league. In 1992, they finished first in the Grand Prix of Maastricht and second in the Volvo World Cup in Oslo. In 1993, they won the Grand Prix of Mannheim and were second in Arnhem. In 1994, they won the Pulsar Crown Grand Prix of Aachen; and were also winner of the GP of Mnchen; second in the Volvo World Cup in Helsinki; second in the GP of Neumnster; sixth in the Volvo World Cup in Oslo.Quick Star total earnings exceeded 500,000 (USD 600.000,00).Quick Star has inherited the best of both his sire and dam lines. From Galoubet, his force, his energy and his courage; from Stella, her elegance, her intelligence and her technique. His sire, Galoubet A, was an impressive show jumper.Ridden by the French rider Gilles-Bertran de Ballanda, he won 19 International Grand Prixs and was on the French Gold Medal winning team at the 1982 Show Jumping World Championships in Dublin, Ireland. His dam, Stella, by Anglo-Arab stallion Nithard, started her jumping career with Philippe Jouy before Nelson Pessoa took over the ride. She won 32 Grand Prix. She was sold to John Lennon in California at the end of her sport career. She was sent to Jaliso and produced Olisco (World Cup finalist with Michael Matz). She subsequently produced Phalor and Belgian Stallion Megag. She was then bred to Galoubet and produced Quick Star.Quick Star is a very popular sire, due to the great performances of his offspring in the show-ring. He is approved in 20 studbooks and is one of the best sire of current showjumping winners. His most renowned offspring include: Big Star, Orient Express, Quick Ardent, Quick Study, Star Power, Niagara dElle, Marjolaine dElle, Sprehe Stella, Quilot Z, Quick Lauro Z, Quincy Z, Quality Touch Z, Quatrin de la Roque, Ninio de Rox, Notrestar dela Nutria, Popstar Lozonais, Qantar des Etisses (recently acquired by McLain Ward)... At the 2012 London Olympics, Quick Star was one of the most influential sires, with two sons in the final individual top ten: Nick Skeltons Big Star (out of a Nimmerdor / Ramiro mare) who lead the British team to gold, and Ian Millars Star Power (out of a Calvados / Le Mexico mare).Despite his small size, Quick Star exhibits a classic type. He suits well mare with enough frame that are lacking blood and strength. Hence, his good results with Dutch, Belgian and German mares.Quick Star produces mostly bay colored horses with spirit but easy character. He does not mark his offspring with a specific conformation type; however most of them share the following traits: they are quick, talented, with short backs and powerful hind quarters.

LOT 13: Tacorde

2000 Chestnut Stallion (Concorde x Goodtimes / Damiro) Donated by Lorrie Jamieson, Klondike Victory Farm

FEI show jumper earning over $100,000. Emerging sire of show jumping performers.

  • CURRENT BID: $925.00
  • Sells with NO RESERVE
  • LOT IS CLOSED

Record: FEI show jumper earning over $100,000. Emerging sire of show jumping performers.

  • Type/Breed: KWPN
  • Size: 17.2 hh
  • Papers: No

Notes:

Tacorde was a fixture at the FEI level of show jumping for 6 seasons before being retired. Tacorde will always be remember as the big scopey stallion with all the chrome and he was a crowd favorite all over Western Canada. Some of his career highlights include winning the Spruce Meadows indoor GP's 2x, being top placed at Brandon in almost every GP ever entered, a 3rd and 5th at Omaha International, jumping 4 clear rounds at RMSJ in two weeks and being one of the top earning horses at RMSJ in 2013, as well as being on the top 10 in Canada for money earned in 2013. Clearing 2x 1.98m during puissance competitions as well has having double clear rounds at Spruce Meadows in the International ring. He earned over $100,000 in his career while being campaigned very lightly in comparison to other GP horses. Taking his rider from the local GP level all the way up to the World Cup Qualifier level, he always forgave mistakes and came out ready to try hard no matter what and he loved a crowd!

Tacorde's sire Olympic Concorde was named Horse of the Year in Holland in 2004 and was the number one producer of show jumpers by money won in the USA in 2002. He also spent many years at or near the top of the WBFSH. His international offspring are numerous including Audi's Jikke, Kathja, Conquest II, Larino, Viktor and Isabella. Concorde was the youngest stallion ever to be awarded preferent, due to his endless list of national and international children. Concorde was elected Horse of the Year in 2004 and is the highest ranked KWPN stallion in the top ten of the WBFSH.

Tacorde's dam Narcis W was by Goodtimes who has produced many successful horses in both the jumper and dressage rings and several approved stallions. Goodtimes is known for producing offspring with excellent conformation, good looks and athleticism for any discipline. Narcis W's grand sire on the bottom is Damiro who is known for adding tractable minds and more great athletic ability.

Tacorde has been bred on a very limited scale before his retirement and his offspring are just starting to make their mark in the show jumping ring, so far up to 1.30m level with his best bred foals still moving up the ranks. He has produced the top scoring mare in Canada with the CWB as well as several premium mares, his first foal inspected by GOV went foal of distinction! His foals out of good show jumping mares are highly sought after with a weanling colt selling for $15,000 in auction in 2016. Top professionals are seeking Tacorde foals out to develop them as upper level horses, he also has 2 licenced sons, one standing in New Zealand and one in Canada. Tacorde adds a great canter, excellent hind-end with very well balanced bone and a strong top-line to his foals as well as the scope, heart and desire to jump. His foals are moderately sized and come with a good splash of chrome!

Tacorde is newly approved with GOV as well as the Canadian Warmblood and Canadian Sport Horse Association.

Notes:

Clair de  Lune SE is one of the hottest young stallions in the US today. Bred in the US by Rose Sullivan as a showjumper, (Contendor/Calypso II/Alme), it was evident in his early years that he loved to compete in eventing!!

He is currently transitioning from eventing with Pan-Am gold medalist Marilyn Little, who had 4**** plans for him, until he got injured in sport to 3 time Olympic gold medalist Rich Fellers, where he has started competing in showjumping!!

After winning the coveted YEH west coast finals in '09 with a 87.78% score, and winning almost every event he competed in, through FEI levels, he got injured in sport. In 2009 and 2010 he won the BWP Lifetime Achievement Award for Eventing, and the AHHA Performance award for eventing.

He was the Winner of the BWP foal futurity prize money in 2012, when two of his weanling colts scored 1st and 2nd in the national futurity.

Clair de LuneSE's oldest offspring are starting to compete and do well in sport!

As foals, his offspring have won several high point championships and the BWP Foal Futurity monies.

Some highlights of his offspring wins are:

In 2017, his 5 yr old son,  Campeon SE  won the Jumper Futurity finals on the east coast,  and 2 five year old youngsters (Campeon SE and Milagro SE, are ranked the  #1 and #2 American bred young event horses after their stellar performance at YEH finals at Fairhill.

In  2016  at YEH finals at Fairhill his youngsters scored 3rd in conformation out of 35 for Sierra de LuneSE (CDL x Liostro/Dynamo) in the 5 yr olds, and 6th in dressage out of 21 in the 4 year olds, (82.4%) for Campeon SE (CDL x Pikadero) with partner Taryn Nolte in the irons with both youngsters.

At the West coast Young Event horse finals, Creme de la Creme SE (CDL x Cathalido / Calido I / Liostro/Sabotage) was 6th overall. Creme has won his first 2 events on his dressage score of 22 with Alexis Helffrich aboard! In 2017  he was Area 6 Training Div champion at the finals in Fresno.

From 2010-2014 Clair de LuneSE offspring have had dozens of wins in FEH Championships and finals where his offspring have scored no lower than 80% and up to 89% as well as a FEH Grand Champion.

His stallion son, Cosimo SE with Frederic Bouland in the irons has also won almost every event he has competed in following in his daddy's footsteps. He recieved the USEA "blue ribbon award" and the USEA Best Training horse/rider combo for 2016.

Notes:

Elegance, athleticism, and an excellent temperament all make up both "Tate" and his kids.

Tate is currently competing in Eventing with Andrew Palmer of Eufauala, AL at the Advanced level. He shows his extreme athleticism and scope when he is on the cross country course and his kids all inherit his love of cross country as well as athletic ability to compete at the upper levels. They also all inherit his excellent disposition and desire to please their people.

Tate is currently 26th in the standings for Leading Event Sire for 2017 with only two of his kids competing at recognized horse trials. Both "tots", Laduma and Prophet, are only at the Novice Level and were shown on a limited basis this year - Laduma by his Adult Amateur Owner and Prophet by his owner, Jon Holling. Tate also has "tots" competing in dressage and hunters in North America (including Bermuda and Canada). He also has Premium foals in Germany as well as the US.

Tate passes on his uphill frame and movement to his offspring, along with his elegant type, freedom of the shoulder, and length of leg. He is homozygous for bay/black.

He has multiple approvals and it is planned to be presented to GOV this year as well.

He has frozen for North America (including CAN) and the EU. This is stored with Select Breeders in MD and in Germany. He is available fresh shipped as well Mon - Sat with notice from Feb - Sept.

Top Show Hunter. Succesfully shown to age 20!

Record: Top Show Hunter. Succesfully shown to age 20!

  • Type/Breed: Rhinelander
  • Size: 16.1 hh

Notes:

The ultimate combination of talent, beauty, conformation and temperament! Shine has spent most of his life in the hunter ring. From the greens to the AO Hunters then on to take care of me in the adult hunters. Too many championships to list here.

After the advent of the USHJA International Hunter Derbies, his ride was turned over to Liza Richardson of Hunter's Run Farms. He excelled at these derbies. Winning and placing in many, despite NEVER jumping a high option. Both times he competed at Derby Finals he was the oldest horse in the competition.

On his 20th Birthday, at the Pin Oak Charity Horse Show, he was retired. Now, at the age of 24 he is still happy, healthy and SOUND!
He passes on his exceptional temperment, beauty and rideabilty. If you are looking for an amateur friendly horse.....he is IT. He will not add size to your mare, but he tends to throw to the mare. If you breed a big mare, you should get a big baby. My 17 h mares have produced babies between 16.3 x 17h. My 16 h mares have produced between 15.3-16.2

Feel free to contact me if you have any questions. Videos and additional photos may be viewed at www.oldeoaksfarm.com and of Shine's Facebook page.
