REPRESENTATION OF HORSE

  • Height - Please measure your horse before listing the height. If you are advertising your horse at 17 hands or your pony at 14.2 it needs to be correct. This is one of the most common reasons buyers have for returning a horse or pony. If you have listed the height as 17 hands and the horse is 16.2, it is considered misrepresentation, and is grounds for rejecting the horse.
  • UP TO SIX (6) PICTURES CAN BE SHOWN -  A recent picture of the horse is strongly suggested. A buyer wants to know what the horse that gets off the trailer at their house will look like. We can market your horse using a professional picture that is not recent, but at least one picture taken within 30 days is recommended.
  • Think carefully when considering the disposition and handling ratings for your entry. A rating of “1” is considered the BEST; and a rating of “10” is the WORST. If a horse has never been stalled, clipped, trailered or turned out with other horses, do not provide ratings for those items. If you choose to rate a horse at “1” for any item, you are stating that the horse can be handled in that situation by a complete beginner, with no fear of danger to the handler or to the horse.
  • Defects and Blemishes include any physical or medical condition of the entry, from scars to warts to a spot in an eye, and everything in between. Answer this question thoughtfully - if you have owned the horse for any length of time there may be issues that you consider normal, but in reality should be disclosed.
  • VIDEOS are extremely important for a riding horse. It is very unlikely to get an acceptable price for a riding horse that if offered without a video, or with video clips that are only a few seconds long and do not show the horse traveling at all 3 gaits in both directions. If the horse is a hunter/jumper/dressage horse, and has show experience, videos in a show situation are best.

ONCE THE HORSE IS SOLD:

BUYER PAYMENT AND RELEASE OF HORSE:

  • After the auction has closed, invoices are emailed to all buyers. Payment is required within 3 business days and is paid directly to the auction company. We take all major credit cards or funds may be wired.
  • Buyer Confirmation emails are sent to the buyer and the seller when the auction company has received sale proceeds.
  • Once you have received the buyer confirmation the horse can be released to the new owner.
  • Some buyers will require a health certificate in order to transport their horse, which is their financial responsibility. Any assistance you provide is appreciated.

REQUIRED PAPERWORK AND PAYMENT TO SELLER:

  • If you have not already done so, please send registration papers, signed transfers and a copy of the coggins to the auction company.
  • A breeders certificate and a pregnancy exam dated within 30 days of auction closing date are required for pregnant mares.
  • All sale proceeds are held until the paperwork is in order.
  • Registration papers, transfers and/or passports are mailed to new owners not sooner than 21 business days after the auction closes unless otherwise requested.
  • Conditions of Sale state that proceeds will be mailed to sellers no later than 15 banking days after the close of the auction. We normally mail checks 10 banking days after the close of auction by first class mail.

IF YOUR HORSE DOES NOT SELL

  • All customers are offered a second chance to sell in an Internet Auction at the discounted rate of $99 if their horse does not sell. It is possible that more or different pictures, or the addition of a video will improve your chance of finalizing a sale. Please contact Tim or Cathy to discuss what changes can be made to increase your chance of selling your horse.

Gorgeous appendix bred filly.  She has that nice easy QH disposition, but looks like a TB.  Although bred to race, she is going to be well over 17hh she is huge.  Very long, straight solid legs and an incredible stride already at a year old.  Definitely a jumping prospect and dressage riders did I say gorgeous?  Cessy totally has presence when she comes in the arena she will turn heads

I have done light ground work, she learns quick and is very trainable.||After you are done showing her, go to the broodmare band and cross her with a warm blood or a Spanish bred.

She has had a pause in her training as she had a foal in 2017 and was bred back to Hanoverian Stallion "Donarweiss".  This foal should mature top of the line large and will be bay or black as the stallion is homozygous for black colour.  The foal will be flashy as his dam is loaded with chrome as well as the stallion!

CJ would make an exceptional sport pony with more training and has thrown a beautiful colt this past year.  (Also for sale in this auction "Accolade")

She is excellent for vet, farrier etc. and is an all around good little mare!  She will be a great assets to a breeding program or someone looking to bring her through the show circuit.  At 5 years young there are many possibilities for this little chestnut mare.

  • Type/Breed: Oldenburg
  • Size: 17.0 hh
  • Papers: Yes
  • Registry: Oldenburg Registry North
  • Reg #: 124025 33-10501-14

Notes:

Silver Moon is a flashy bay gelding by the famous Schockemoehle stud Sir Donnerhall out of Star Award mare Ultimate Girl by Kupferberg-Gold aka Bismarck (KWPN) out of a  Habicht mare. He is a true son of his sire with elegance and an eye-catching presence. His movements are light, powerful yet supple and his natural suspension promises great impulsion and easy collection. As foal he received Premium status with 8.1 total at his Oldenburg foal inspection and tied for Site Champion. A very kind and even temperament paired with an outstanding willingness and a smart mind will translate into a 10+ ride-ability and a sure contender for the Dressage Grand Prix ring. Very easy to handle and a pleasant laid-back attitude will make him an asset for the professional and amateur. Due to his size (17.0 hh) he has enjoyed anoterh summer on pasture but is ready to be started now.  Super clean x-rays, a flawless pre-purchase exam and a negative Coggins are on file. Very rarely do you come across such a promising youngster!

Sire:  Sir Donnerhall's pedigree is the perfect combination of genes from Sandro Hit and Donnerhall and the Schockemoehle website hails him as "Sire of World Champions, Winners of the German national championships, price record setters and licensing champions, hero and producer of champions of historic uniqueness."

For years Sir Donnerhall I has dominated the German Championships as no sire has done before him. He has also been one of the most successful sires of auction horses and continuous producer of top horses achieving 6 digit prices. His son Sa Coeur was World Champion of the five-year-old dressage horses and star horse of the PSI auction with a knockdown price of EUR 2.31 million! Many of his offspring sell for top dollars in the European Elite Auctions.

His progeny impresses repeatedly with their great style, modern type and supple movements. The FN breeding valuation ranks Sir Donnerhall I, who has himself been trained up to Grand Prix, as one of the best sires of dressage horses (152 points and 99% reliability). He was second reserve champion of his licensing, stallion performance test winner with the highest dressage index score ever awarded of 163 points, Ia main premium sire in 2005 and in 2006 German national champion as well as vice World Champion of five year old dressage horses. His evaluation as breeding stallion states: 'He fascinates with his feather-light movements and exceptional presence. He is the perfect mix of being nice, of being rideable, of having a good brain, but also of being fresh enough, forward enough and smart enough and trainable enough. He has not only the gaits, but also the willingness, the trainability, the right brain together with an unbelievable presence.'

He quickly turned out to be a foundation stallion: He has already produced 90 licensed sons, including several Champions and Premium Stallions. ||Dam Ultimate Girl brings more exceptional performance horse blood into the mix. She is by Kupferberg-Gold, winner of his Koerung who was sold immediately afterwards for a record price to the Netherlands where he was approved under the name of Bismarck for KWPN. In Europe he is known for his high ride-ability, nobility and beautiful type with a very correct and dry foundation. His gaits were classified as superior in engagement, reach and suppleness and he was successful up to Advanced Level Dressage. He has produced many victorious offspring not only for Grand Prix and Intermediare Dressage but also for Jumping and sired the approved stallion Lorenzo's Fire. Bismarck is best known for his high quality daughters, many of which received ster and elite status due to their type and athleticism along with smooth and elegant movements. His sire Mahon was one of the best sons of world renowned Mahagoni and despite his early death produced several approved sons in Germany and the USA. |Silver Moon is an exceptionally well-bred youngster with the necessary suppleness and impulsion for the Dressage Grand Prix ring. He is offered for sale through this auction in order to reach the American market, NOT because there are any flaws in him!

Munchie Munny is a highly attractive young colt with a lot of potential for high-level amateur sport. He has three powerful, balanced gaits, correct conformation, and great character. His offspring have since followed suit, the oldest now 8 years of age starting to jump very successfully in the 1.45m, as well as consistently finishing in the top ten rankings for young horse classes.

Dam, Zalesgirl keur, is a robust, typey mare with great movement and temperament. She is an uncomplicated ride and jumped very successfully through 1.20m with an amateur rider. The popularity of the Indoctro x Voltaire nick can be seen with the likes of successful 1.60m competitors such as VDL Groep Arera C/Maikel van der Vleuten, Unique/Nick Skelton, and Indiana 127/Angel Karolyi. Lastly, Munchie Munny comes from the performance Dutch family 161 where you can find horses such as L.B. Nassau is a son of the famed Roemer who did Grand Prix jumpers as well as Grand Prix dressage and was one of the flagship stallions of Iron Spring Farm.

Nassau shares genetics with such great international horses as Equus Nadine and Rouseau!

Nassau himself is as versatile as his great sire. He is schooled through the FEI dressage and was the Reserve Champion over all and of the jumping phase of his 100 day test.

We believe that crossed with a TB he will produce incredible event or jumper prospects. Neicy is such a prospect! Neicy is well balanced with athletic gaits and a brave and bold character.

Notes:

Another Farnley/Shenandoah superstar hunter pony in the making.

"Tee" has everything a judge will be looking for.  He has correct confirmation, lovely movement, and amazing athletic ability.  He has done everything one can do with a two and a half year old.

He has shown in hand successfully as a yearling and a two year old. This  means he cross ties/high line ties, stands for the vet and the farrier, body clips, has had his mane pulled and braided, and loads and travels on a trailer as a matter of course.  He's has extensive time hand walking out in the woods and stands around in the ring while others are at work.

He routinely wears a saddle and bridle and was backed this summer, simply walking around with a person on his back, and was then turned back out to continue to grow.  He's been free jumped over small jumps to evaluate his ability (see video) handling all of this with enthusiasm.

An easy keeper, has great feet and has always been barefoot.  He loves his pasture buddies and can live out or in.  Doesn't seem to mind when left alone when others are being ridden. He is a self confident little man without a mean bone in his body.

His owner/trainer has extensive experience with Buck Brannaman clinics, so "Tee" has been started with Buck's foundation principles.

Reason for sale:  My show horse has health issues and I REALLY miss riding.  So, I've made the hard decision to find a good home for my youngster so I can find a new show hunter.  Only so much room in the barn unfortunately!

Notes:

Poe is a talented jumper/event prospect!

He has a very solid base on the flat and is a hard worker. He loves to jump and has been jumping for about a year now.  He has gone to a couple of shows and does not get worried when he is off property. He has schooled cross country and does not have any issues with anything out of the arena.  Poe is well behaved in the barn and is very easy to handle.   He is a great jumper and will make someone a great horse with just some more time to grow up!

Since Poe is a young horse he requires an intermediate rider and not recommended for a beginner.

Poe is a very sweet boy and I am only selling him because I am going to grad school and do not have time for him anymore.  He deserves a job and someone to love him and will make a great partner!

He does weave slightly, but it is only at feed time or if he has been stalled for a long time.  Poe has never been unsound, but does have some changes in his left front ankle. He has no special maintenance besides being shod on all four feet.

He has a USEA record and his show name is Nevermore.

Carlos is impeccably breed and was imported from Germany.

He has shown in the jumpers and hunters (up to 1.20m jumpers and 3 foot hunters). He also has lovely flatwork and would make a nice dressage horse or eventer.

He is the sweetest horse in the barn with the personality of a labrador. He was previously owned by a beginner rider until last year, so he is still a little green in some aspects. That being said he shows potential to excel in any ring!

He has been used in lessons with intermediate riders the past year and was shown by students who didn't have a horse at the time.

He is extremely sound and I have a vetting from last year that can be viewed. He is a very sound horse as well!

Carlos DZ - Sire of  VOLSTRUPS CODY - placed up to 1.50m CSI5*; CANTARA 69 - placed CSI4* in Germany; CORA XXV - winner at 1.35m CSI2*, placed CSI3*; CASANOVA 410 - winner at 1.40m CSI2*; CASPER 303 - placed 1.35m CSI2*; CLAUDEL - evented CCI2* in Germany; CUT THE CUTENESS - evented CCI2* Belgium & Sweden.

Notes:

Stunning, unraced, registered thoroughbred mare. Hunter type with  gorgeous floaty trot with rhythmic canter. Tons of potential to perform in many disciplines. Jazz is a sweetheart in the barn with no vices. Here is a mare with a bit of a late start probably because of her size. She is on the small side measuring 15h. but with a huge presence. She has been in a program with a professional for the past 6 mos.

Possibilities are endless with this lovely mare. She has no show miles yet but could be a very fancy short stirrup mount for a child, or would be suitable for a small adult entering the pre-adult, novice or even adult amateur divisions. She has plenty of step for the lines.

She is also eligible as a Small Hunter and even as a broodmare. She would be great for breeding to a small or medium pony to produce fancy pony hunters.

Jazz has been doing mostly flatwork, but has recently been started over small crossrails. She has an 'almost auto' lead change, a big stride with a nice rhythmic canter. She moves evenly to a jump, neither speeding up or getting dull, and remains the same on the landing side.

Currently being ridden in a plain D-ring snaffle. She cross ties, bathes in wash stall, loads, good for vet & farrier. Gets along with others in turnout and is easy to catch. She has clean legs and is currently barefoot & sound. Just a lovely mare with great potential.

Notes:

Vincent was Year End Champion for the CDCTA dressage series with high scores to 74% at intro level in 2015.

He is kind, agreeable and very trainable.  He is fun to ride and is lovely and soft in the bridle.  In addition to showing in dressage he has also done some trails. He has trail ridden at the Manassas Battlefields (this was when he was just 60 days under saddle!) He has gone out both alone and with a buddy and is pretty brave and loves to explore. He will often ask to turn away from the barn to go further.

He loves to jump but hasn't done too much as I am just a dressage rider, but he will happily jump all I ask of him in good form. I have free jumped him over 3' oxers and he thinks that is great fun!  He would likely love to event.  Under saddle I have only jumped up to 2' as I don't  jump much.  He is super willing and when a jump is in the ring sometimes he will ask to head towards it, never around. He enjoys it.

He was started as a 4 year old ( no fault of his own) and has been very low mileage since then.  I was busy with a small business and young children. He was ridden sporadically and then I put in some focus in the summer of 2015 when he went to 4 horse shows and won every class he entered. I rode him myself and he needed no lungeing. He did like to look around for 30 minutes as prep.

In the ring he never took a step wrong. Judges comments included ' Elegant pair - you can do this!, Nice horse will be fun to take up the levels!, Cute horse., Handsome pair - nicely ridden test. Pretty horse - interesting markings must be a lot of fun to ride!

The last 2 years he has been ridden about once a month as I have been in treatment for a chronic health issue. He has been good about putting up with the sporadic work, and hasn't done any wild moves. He is not prone to spook, buck or rear. He is the right amount of whimsical to be fun to ride. He would prefer a rider with good hands and good seat as he listens to cues.  He doesn't need to be ridden daily. Although more than monthly would be better for him!

He is currently a touch plump, and out of shape, but still agreeable to ride. Get in touch for many additional photos including photos taken in the last month, or copies of his dressage test scores or comments.

He loads well and ships great. He ties well. Excellent for vet and farrier. Great turned out with other horses, I have put him with everything from dominant geldings and mares to many different yearlings and he has never offered to hurt anyone. He is confident in the pecking order, but kind. He is agreeable and goes to work happy and interested in the work. He has advanced round pen training and natural horsemanship, he will round pen to voice commands and body language with no lines, and even collect canter at liberty by body cues.

He would love to be someone’s special horse and bond well and show you how intuitive he is. He is a real gentleman in the barn and is super polite. He is good with kids racing bikes in the aisle or putting chickens, bunnies or cats on his back.  He likes to be a part of the action.  Could make a great trail horse, eventer, dressage, hunter, western dressage ( have not put him in a western saddle, but I think he'd be game!) or judged trails.

He is not spooky and will willingly walk over tarps. He has great feet, Never lame, (except 3 days from a minor cut) Never any colic, easy keeper, most agreeable horse in the barn, can be left in alone, or turned out last, never paws. Eats slowly and is kind and happy when you pour grain.

He is a real likable horse and could go far with someone willing to fine tune his training. We have done more work at trot than canter. He has a good canter, but it has had less schooling. Never offered to buck.

He has great markings, and a blue eye. He is striking with his wide white blaze, blue eye and black forelock.  Very athletic, nice moving, and light in the bridle and on his feet.  He is fun to be around and fun to ride.

Professional Training: Yes,

60 days being started with an event rider, and one week with a dressage trainer before show season began in 2015.

Professional Training Comments:

"He prefers a rider with independent hands and seat. He is steady in the bridle and nice to ride, but hasn’t been ridden by beginners. He is generally very quiet, but can get a little up if horses are galloping or the weather is changing fast, so for this reason I dont think he would be a good little kid lesson horse, he would do the best with one rider who is decent and can bond with him. He responds very well to training and retains lessons he has been taught. His first show with me he won his class and each show he just got better and better.  Currently pretty much out of work for last 2 years due to my health, although I have ridden him consistently the last 2 weeks and he has been very civilized despite the time off. One video shows him undersaddle on Oct 16th. He could go in any direction, he just needs some training.

Notes:

Reposada has started her career this past summer eventing beginner novice and is ready to move up to novice now. This mare is brave and bold cross country and stadium jumping. She is a very pretty mover and should score well in dressage with some more flat work. All the basics are there she is just still green, but very willing. |She has shown locally in both the hunters and jumpers and has even gone out for a walk with the hounds. With some time and patience she should be able to do any discipline. Her jump is spectacular and she is scopey as well as brave. On the ground this mare is sweet and kind. She loves attention and being handled.

Notes:

Lincoln is a retired show horse that came to me through a downsizing IEA program where he was also used on the local circuit.

He has been an excellent beginner lesson horse at my barn since February. Lincoln has a great, slow walk, trot and canter and is very easy to stop. He is very forgiving of beginner riders and is always well behaved. My program is geared toward younger riders and his size can be intimidating.

Lincoln has great ground manners, is easy to work around and is good for the vet and farrier. He has no bad habits and is an easy keeper.

Because he is an old show hunter, he is most comfortable with earplugs. We keep him in front shoes and he has great feet. Lincoln loves small trail rides when the kids take him out. He is not spooky and not much bothers him.

Notes:

Beautiful mare.  Very brave and willing to please. Green pony eligible.

Has only been competing for 1 year at Heritage Horse Show in Plantation, Florida.  Has won Reserve Champion and high placings in Green pony and many other categories.  Finished in 4th place in Open beginning category, 6th in Low Hunter and 11th as Overall Hunter horse for the year.  Hack winner with auto lead changes.

Reason for selling is that she is too much pony for our petite 10 year old.  Ella does best with a bigger and more experienced rider.
