Werbellin began training in Germany at the Celle State Stud, acheiving Class I Stallion status with a total score 122.95 Dressage; 126.21 Jumping 119.49 Scores: character 8, temperament 9, constitution 8, freejumping 7.17, stadium jumping 8.50, rideability 7 and 8, walk 8, trot 8, canter 9.

Dressage: 2001-2008 Werbellin trained under Christopher Hickey, learning the movements to Grand Prix. 2006/2007: showed C.D.I. Short-Tour: finished ranked fourth Nationally of Qualified Horse/Riders for Gladstone Pan Am Qualifier. Region 8 Intermediaire I and Freestyle Champions, scores to 75%. and placed on the USET “Developing Horse/Rider” List. 2008: After retiring from pro-FEI competition, Werbellin served as schoolmaster for young rider Jocelyn Weiss at Hilltop Farm.

2009: went on to serve Faye Dunn in achieving her Silver Medal from USDF. 2012: Today, to keep fit and happy, Werbellin works with young rider Michaela Dupuis in both hunters and dressage.

Jumping: 1998/1999: under Jochim Winter, Celle State Stud, Werbellin competed in Young Jumpers winning 19 classes and pinning in the top three in 12 more!  The German Hanoverian Motherline book mentions him under #33: “In his youth he was almost invincible in jumping tests.”

Production: In Germany, Werbellin produced several SPS Mares, a Ratje Niebuhr-placed mare, dressage, jumping, and driving horses prior to exportation.

In the U.S., Werbellin has produced many winning offspring at registry inspections, DSHB-Sporthorse Qualifers and Finalists, Premium mares, a licensed son, and those with success undersaddle in dressage, eventing, jumping, and hunters.

At home, Werbellin is best known for his charming personality and love of people. He is easily handled by his young rider while giving a satisfying ride to the professional. Dressage or jumping, the choice is yours, depending on the talent of the mare you choose.
