Belvedere (also called Bevy Dear and Big Booty Bevy) is a 10-yr 16.2h Warmblood gelding registered with AWR.  Belvedere schools training and first level dressage.  He has his changes and could reach third level with a bit more strengthening for extensions and suppleness for lateral work.  Belvedere has a great brain and is tolerant of rider mistakes.  He is excellent with beginners and timid riders!  Such a great work ethic!  Bevy currently enjoys a combination of dressage, trail riding, trail obstacle (same training as mounted police), and fox hunting.  He is also teaching low-level jumping and schooling cross country.  He rides in a gentle double-jointed French snaffle for all disciplines.

Belvedere began fox hunting with South Creek Foxhounds this season.  He loves it!  He is a quiet, safe choice to take out on a hunt.  Suitable for 1st, 2nd, or hilltoppers depending on the rider.  He is respectful of the hounds and stands on the buckle at all stops.  Bevy is my go-to horse for when my beginner and non-horsey friends want to go riding.  Bevy trail rides alone or in a group of any size with gaited and non-gaited horses.  He regularly hacks out 15-20+ miles through the woods, around traffic, rocky terrain, crossing water, bridges, logs on the trail, etc.  He loves to play in ponds and go swimming in the ocean.  Bevy has no fears!  We even took him to an outdoor rock concert at a waterfront restaurant.  He stood in the parking lot with all the bikers and listened to the music.

Bevy enjoys hunter paces and schooling cross country.  He would be the ideal event horse.  Auto changes, no spook, no stop.  Bevy's former owner showed him (and show leased him) locally in equitation, derbies, and hunters through .95m. AUTO LEAD CHANGES Bevy is currently teaching me jumping.  We haul off-site for lessons in low jumping and cross country.  He is an amazing teacher and so kind with beginners and timid riders.  He will slow down or stop if the rider loses balance and responds well to voice commands.  The only reason Bevy is for sale is because my husband and I would like to start a family and we need to downsize our personal horses.

Belvedere is the same horse no matter how often he is ridden.  No lunging or prep.  Walks right on any trailer and is quiet as a mouse when hauling.  He is microchipped and UTD on shots, Coggins, deworming, floating, and hoof trimming.  Belvedere is barefoot and lives out 24/7 in a mixed herd.  He is a very submissive boy at the bottom of the pecking order.  No vices or maintenance.  Perfect ground manners.  Excellent for hoof trimming, clipping, braiding, etc.  Because he is so well-behaved, Bevy is regularly used as a demo horse for the vet students at the Chi Institute to practice on.  He is such a sweetie and practically falls asleep during lab classes.  The vet students always want to take him home!

Belvedere is located in Brooksville, Florida (in between Tampa and Ocala).  Please call with any questions or to schedule a visit to meet Bevy before the auction ends.  You can try him at our farm, take a lesson at my dressage instructor's farm, haul off-site to school jumping or cross country, or we could grab a second horse and go for a trail ride.  Affordable shipping can be arranged anywhere in the US.
