Notes:

Absolutely lovely 2020 filly by Parcival. Born on June 12th, Poppyseed presented correctly from the beginning. She is a lovely light bay with 3 huge stockings and one splashy sock that goes up her leg with a huge blaze to top off her feminine head. Very correct limbs and a proportional body. Poppy is very strong and ties in well through her topline with lofty movement and good limb articulation.

Her sire, Parcival, needs no introduction. Showing successfully in international dressage competition, Parcival is also very exciting for the jumper breeder. Both his sire and dam line have produced many successful Grand Prix and international jumpers, including half-brother Pavarotti (by Lancelot), currently successful in the Grand Prix ring with U.S. Team rider Todd Minikus, and Jeroen Dubbeldam's grand prix mount Nassau, who shares Parcival's damline (Jolanda). Half-brother Hamar (Mythens x Tamara) is a KWPN approved stallion who also jumped successfully in the United States with USET rider Laura Chapot, and has sired successful grand prix jumpers such as Blue Danube.

As a dressage horse, Parcival has had tremendous success in the FEI ring, competing undefeated at Prix St. George and Intermediaire 1 with his amateur owner in 2007, and garnering Horse of the Year honors in Adult Amateur Prix St. Georges for USDF and KWPN All-Breeds. In 2008, Parcival showed exclusively on the highly competitive Florida winter circuit, making his debut in the CDI ring and finishing in the top 20 of the horses competing in the International High Performance division to qualify for the Naional Intermediaire Championships. Parcival finished his first Florida season as Markel Amateur Winter Dressage Champion for both Prix St. Georges (avg. 69.361%) and Intermediaire 1 (avg. 69.277%), and was USDF All-Breeds Horse of the Year at Intermediaire 1, Adult Amateur, for KWPN.

Poppy's dam, One Way Gal (or Maple as we call her), was raced briefly before being retired sound. Maple only adds to Poppy's impressive pedigree, with ancestors in her own pedigree known to produce sporthorses. Not only that, but Maple herself moves with the best of them, having excellent hind leg articulation, great lift through her shoulders, and a great canter. Maple also has very correct legs, neck, and loin attachment.

We expect Poppy to mature between 16.1hh-16.2hh and be feminine and modern. Poppy gets handled routinely and will continue to be handled until she is weaned and ready to go to her home. She is being raised in a herd setting, learning herd dynamics, respecting fences, learning to navigate terrain, and strengthening her bones/limbs in the gentle hills. She has been hauled a few times already with Maple and is getting the understanding of traveling. She will have routine vet/farrier care as needed.

Poppy will be presented Westfalen (through mail-in since the tour has been canceled) this month and will be sold with her Westfalen registration/microchip/passport/USEF # already handled.

• Since Poppy will not be weaned until mid-October, it is buyers responsibility to provide insurance on Poppy until she arrives on your farm •
