La Rocketman RC's sire is Rancho Corazon's 2012 stallion La Rocket RC (Larimar x Calido I) who is competing successfully at the 1.35m level, with aspirations of achieving international success. Bred in Germany, approved with the German Holsteiner Verband and imported as a 2yo; he is scopey and catlike with a modern build and is an absolute delight to ride. Watch him with our head trainer Chenoa McElvain on the road at the AA Horse Show Circuit. La Rocket RC passes his athleticism, chrome and lovely demeanor on to his offspring.
La Rocket RC's grandsire Larimar was know as an outstanding jumper with huge scope and outstanding conformation. Larimar is strongly influenced by the thoroughbred combination of Ladykiller xx, Anblick xx and Sacramento Song xx.
La Rocket is a grandson of the eminent Calido I, who won the jumping phase of his 100-Day Stallion Test, and went on to win more than 25 classes for young horses. His offspring are world-renowned for their aesthetic, athleticism and impressive show jumping records. Calido has 45 approved sons and has produced 187 advanced-level jumpers (including several Olympic competitors) who have accumulated earnings of more than two million Euros.
La Rocketman RC's dam, Shona, is an RC favorite. Her sire, Mr. Wizard is one of a small number of remaining direct M-Line Holsteiner stallions. His progeny are athletic, forward thinking and good moving horses who enjoy working and competing. He has produced numerous premium foals and mares in the AHHA approvals. In 2009, his filly, U-Turn, earned a perfect ""10"" in the free jumping and under saddle jumping, along with ""9""s for scope and technique. She finished with premium status and a final mare performance test score of 83%. U-turn has gone on to be a mini prix winner and YJC competitor. Mr. Wizard has also produced several offspring competing in eventing at the higher levels, as well as some in dressage.
