Dave Gustlin's passion for horses and painting have blossomed together in his art. Without a doubt the horse is both his muse and model.

Acrylics are Dave's medium of choice, with the occasional pencil, or pen stroke, making it into the final image.

While primarily a “realist”, and fussy about getting the proportions and details correct, it is the brushwork that matters most! They form the painterly underpinnings that hold up the realistic image and will hopefully be appreciated.
