Sparks Tootsie Roll, affectionately known as Tootsie, is a 2-year-old bay Quarter Horse filly that was born and raised at the Ohio State University Equine Facility.

Her sire, NHF Peppy Spark, is an ARHA World Champion in Reining and OVRHA Intermediate Open Reining Champion, and his paternal grandsire, the legendary Shining Spark, is an NRHA Hall of Fame Stallion whose offspring have exceeded $10 million dollars in lifetime earnings. Her dam, CL Sassy Ashley, is by Dan Dooley, at Top Ten AQHA World Show point-earner.

Tootsie was lightly started under saddle this semester by student trainer, Alyssa Vernatter, in the Advanced Equine Behavior and Training class and has been ridden in a variety of settings - outdoor sand arena, grass obstacle course, and on the bridle trails at Prairie Oaks Metro Park.
